Nah, don't get hung up on facts. Whether Brown is a controlling deadbeat jerk who wants to win, or he is a father who (for some crazy reason) wants to keep and raise his daughter without giving her away or harming her further, is up to the viewer and cannot be determined by objective analysis.

Why the rush to process everything. Has he not been denied due process rights? Could this still be appealed on those grounds alone?

Brown agreed to the date, not very long before the meeting itself. His parents and wife who are currently watching her, also did not bring Veronica to the meeting. Are they serving in the national guard as well? Could he not have given the court a copy of his ordered schedule, to arrange for a re-schedule? The number of excuses people make for this guy are unbelievable.

Brown is a controlling, deadbeat jerk. He doesn't care about what's in the interest of Veronica. He doesn't care about the law. He cares about his pride and ego, and "winning."

Or could it be that he actually cares about his daughter

He cares about his biological daughter enough to make it so she now has NO transition period? Mr. Brown has never given a crap about what's in Veronica's best interest.

What is important here is what is in the best interest of the CHILD, not the adults involved, who have their own agendas or points to make. And that is clearly placing her back with her adoptive parents, where she lived happily for most of her life.

she probably does not even remember the Capobiancos. Is it really about her they are thinking of? She has now grandparents, a sister, a dad, a mom with the Brown family as well.

OMG -- these people knew her BIOLOGICAL FATHER wanted when she was 4 months old...
THEY KNEW THIS
They kept dragging this out...
She has now been with her FATHER and family for so long
Leave the girl with her dad
How sick is this

The court set the date, without asking even if it was possible for him to leave national guard for it

The father is now fighting for his rights in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma court has to recognize SC adoption

The point is, she never should have been taken away in the first place.

Yes she had a right to be with her birth father who actually wanted to parent her
Just because this PRE-adoptive family wanted her doesn't mean they get to have her
They and the birth mother played fast and loose with adoption law to make happen what THEY wanted

The adoptive parents should be charged with kidnapping---this happens all the time in adoptions where they try to keep birth fathers in the dark. There was a similar case where a Virginia man was "duped" and lost his kid. Facilitated by a local DC attorney who is well known in the private adoption world. It's all about money and supply and demand (and filling that demand by any means-legal or not).
Excerpt rom the court records of the John Wyatt (baby Emma) case-(Fahland is the birthmom).- "Without Wyatt's knowledge, Fahland's parents retained attorney Mark McDermott to arrange for an adoption. While Fahland informed Wyatt of her parents' desire that she see an adoption attorney, she assured Wyatt that they would raise the baby as a family. During a January 30, 2009 meeting with McDermott, Fahland signed a form identifying Wyatt as the birth father and indicating that he wanted to keep the baby. Fahland offered to provide Wyatt's address, but McDermott told her to falsely indicate on the form that the address was unknown to her, which she did. She also signed an agreement in which she requested that the adoptive parents discuss adoption plans with the birth father. Wyatt was "purposely kept in the dark" about this meeting, and Fahland continued to make false statements to Wyatt at the urging of McDermott, indicating that she planned to raise the baby with Wyatt, with the purpose that he would not take steps to secure his parental rights and prevent the adoption."

There are many cases like this (Utah being the biggest offende). Terry Achane was another-the adoptive parents in his case decided to give up and he regained custody. His case was actually in South Carolina. Perhaps South Carolina will follow in Utah's footsteps.

There is also a show on the Oxygen channel called I'm having their baby which follows birth moms and adoptive parents, some of them blatantly look for ways to work around the bio dads and have moms consent to the adoptions unilaterally.
