S/O What is the most "out there" name you've heard on a child recently?

I know two women from Vietnam. One was named Ho and the other one Bich. They both ended up changing their names legally.

Yeah it's Delilah. I'm surprised that isn't more popular now because of that recent hit song...

I like Bibilical bad girl names. so Eve, Lillith, Bathsheba, Delilah, Jezebel. I didn't have the nerve to use them though.

I also always thought Noah was a pretty name for a girl.

None of these names are strange. Ailish (correctly spelled as Ailis, prounounced Ailish) is gaelic for Alice and Maurice pronounced as Morris is the traditional Irish pronunciation.

Well Ecila and Sirrom are Alice and Morris backwards. That doesn't make them not strange.

And really, Athanasius? Nao? Teagan? You're seriously claiming those are common names?

Actually, Delilah has spiked like the global warming graph in the past few years.

Exactly. And anyone who is culturally literate has heard these names before.

What point are you trying to make? Can you give me the cultural references for Lachlan, Ivo, and Clover please? I'd hate to be ignorant.

Lachlan has been in the top 10 boy names in Australia for over a decade.

The girl's name is Noa. It seems to be pretty popular right now, esp among my Jewish friends.

I was going to, but decided to let it go. Does it count that I did immediately think it when I saw the name?
