If MAGA Christians didn’t see a wolf in sheep’s clothing back then, nothing was ever going to help them.

MAGA Christians are just like him! They aren't really Christians. They wield Jesus as a weapon instead of a balm. They DON"T get Jesus' message AT ALL. You can't worship Jesus AND guns. You can't worship Jesus and talk about how empathy is bad. So really, they like Trump because HE IS THEM. Deplorable to the core trying to hide behind a veneer of nothing but lies.

I saw someone call them Leviticans, because of their love of Leviticus and all it's weirdo rules. It's really what we should call them. I'm tired of people calling them Christians. It's wrong.

You believe you can judge others? What gives you that special right?

The Bible actually emphasizes using discretion and making judgments when believers among you are committing evil. Paul emphasized rejecting people who commit evil in the name of Jesus or live an ungodly life.

Praying for someone and helping them to be a better person is different than wishing them dead.

President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated image of himself as a messiah.

On Sunday, April 12, Trump, 79, posted an image on Truth Social that appeared to have been inspired by Jesus Christ healing the sick. He didn’t include a caption on his post.

God is not mocked! Blasphemy and I pray he is soon eaten by worms.

So you pray to Jesus and ask in prayer for God to kill Trump?

That’s not Christianity. At all.

That person never said they were Christian.

I’m pretty sure a lot of people of many different religious affiliations including atheists are praying for God to remember the president.

Atheists are praying to God that God will kill Trump? Is that what you are saying? It sounds like it.

Maybe they just want the Lord to relieve his obvious suffering and dementia.

The same people who are virtue signaling over a painting admit to praying to God/their god to kill another human.

Again, that’s not Christianity. If you think you are in the right place because you pray for someone else’s death, I certainly am not going to change your mind. Religious or not, that’s evil.

I agree. And you don’t just need to be Christian to see a problem with this. It’s not moral, it’s not decent, it’s not the way people in an ethical society carry on. It’s one thing to say that we won’t cry when he’s gone, but it’s just abhorrent to pray or wish for someone’s death. And to the person who implied that it is just out of kindness to wish that an old man reaches the end of his life—that’s as believable as one of Trump’s lies. Let’s be better than them.

Spare us please. He made a very offensive post/joke about himself being Jesus. He is the president of the United States of America.

Anonymous dcum posters made an offensive off-color joke about praying for his demise.

Try to focus on the gorilla in the room which is the insanity of the president of the United States of America.

Seriously. And the same pearl clutchers have nothing to say when Hegseth is publicly praying for the deaths of Iranians.

I wish these people had any empathy for literally any brown or black person in this country. Like any.

I’m the poster being accused of pearl clutching. I’m black. Of fairly recent Haitian descent, to boot. So, I guess I do have empathy for “brown or black” people. (Maybe check in with your own prejudices and ask why you assume I’m white). I don’t know who you’re calling “these people”. Friends joke that I make Bernie Sanders seem alt-right. But I believe in going high. I want Trump out of office. Of course I do. But I don’t want to be a part of a society where people pray for someone’s death. I think of the republicans drawing targets on pictures of Gabby Gifford. I want to be better than that. I truly believe it’s important.

Perhaps don’t assume that everyone who has any opinion that differs from yours is the enemy?

I want him dead. I have zero qualms about it. He is one person causing irreparable harm to countless people. His death will 100% be a net positive for not just our country but the world. Maybe he should live a life where his death isn’t wished for and ultimately celebrated.

You need help.

Please. If you’d read the bible, you’d know that God kills evildoers by the thousands time and time again. It’s hardly wrong for people to hope God helps us out by doing his sky magic again.

No I don’t. But thanks for the tip. Wanting someone dead for the greater good is perfectly fine. It’s not like I’m acting on it or hastening it. I just wish he would die already. I’m perfectly comfortable with that.

I wish trump a debilitating stroke with loss of speech and paralysis of arms and legs but his mind, what is left of it, intact. This way he is definitely unable to stay in office and will be replaced by the big turd Vance of whom no one is afraid. Trump will finally pay for a small fraction of his sins and give a modicum of closure to those who have suffered because of him. He will live to be 105 and there will be no state funeral for him

OK. Let's quiz him on organic/inorganic chemistry.

“President Trump’s decision to post an AI-generated image depicting himself as a Christ-like figure sparked outrage on the religious right, triggering the most significant pushback from his Catholic and evangelical Christian supporters since he returned to the White House.

Conservative Christians have rallied behind Trump in recent years, despite initial misgivings, standing with him through two impeachments and three elections. Trump, in turn, has made good on campaign promises to them, nominating Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe v. Wade.

But for many Christian leaders, Trump’s Sunday night Truth Social post—along with his pointed criticism of Pope Leo XIV—went too far.

“We are a little bit beside ourselves,” said John Yep, CEO of Catholics for Catholics, a nonprofit that has hosted faith events at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club and maintains close ties to the administration.

Rod Dreher, a conservative writer who attended the Catholic baptism of Vice President JD Vance before he entered politics, went further. “Not saying Trump is the Antichrist,” Dreher told The Wall Street Journal. “But he’s radiating the spirit of Antichrist, no question.”

Pastor Douglas Wilson, co-founder of the conservative Calvinist denomination to which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth belongs, called the image “blasphemous.”

Not stupid, just that they get his humor. They find him hilarious.

So Vance thinks it’s a funny joke people just don’t get: “Vance said the post was a “joke” and that Trump took it down “because he realized that a lot of people weren’t understanding his humor.”

What an absolute POS. Smiling saying it’s a joke as a supposed Catholic may be almost as bad as Dementia Don posting it.

So why does Vance visit the Vatican if he doesn't want the Pope involved in anything? He only wants the Pope involved if he can sway the Catholic vote. Dipshit needs to make up his mind, can't fly to the Vatican looking for support then get your panties in a twist when the Pope disagrees with you.

+1 See this is the crux of the whole thing for me. Indoctrination warps the mind...and so many people are able to turn off their thinking their empathy, and their humanity, and STILL 100% KNOW they are more moral than let's say an atheist who believes in good will, kindness, love, empathy, uncondiotnial love, etc. It is sick.
