President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated image of himself as a messiah.

On Sunday, April 12, Trump, 79, posted an image on Truth Social that appeared to have been inspired by Jesus Christ healing the sick. He didn’t include a caption on his post.

God is not mocked! Blasphemy and I pray he is soon eaten by worms.

So you pray to Jesus and ask in prayer for God to kill Trump?

That’s not Christianity. At all.

That person never said they were Christian.

I’m pretty sure a lot of people of many different religious affiliations including atheists are praying for God to remember the president.

Atheists are praying to God that God will kill Trump? Is that what you are saying? It sounds like it.

Maybe they just want the Lord to relieve his obvious suffering and dementia.

The same people who are virtue signaling over a painting admit to praying to God/their god to kill another human.

Again, that’s not Christianity. If you think you are in the right place because you pray for someone else’s death, I certainly am not going to change your mind. Religious or not, that’s evil.

I agree. And you don’t just need to be Christian to see a problem with this. It’s not moral, it’s not decent, it’s not the way people in an ethical society carry on. It’s one thing to say that we won’t cry when he’s gone, but it’s just abhorrent to pray or wish for someone’s death. And to the person who implied that it is just out of kindness to wish that an old man reaches the end of his life—that’s as believable as one of Trump’s lies. Let’s be better than them.

Spare us please. He made a very offensive post/joke about himself being Jesus. He is the president of the United States of America.

Anonymous dcum posters made an offensive off-color joke about praying for his demise.

Try to focus on the gorilla in the room which is the insanity of the president of the United States of America.

Seriously. And the same pearl clutchers have nothing to say when Hegseth is publicly praying for the deaths of Iranians.

I wish these people had any empathy for literally any brown or black person in this country. Like any.

I’m the poster being accused of pearl clutching. I’m black. Of fairly recent Haitian descent, to boot. So, I guess I do have empathy for “brown or black” people. (Maybe check in with your own prejudices and ask why you assume I’m white). I don’t know who you’re calling “these people”. Friends joke that I make Bernie Sanders seem alt-right. But I believe in going high. I want Trump out of office. Of course I do. But I don’t want to be a part of a society where people pray for someone’s death. I think of the republicans drawing targets on pictures of Gabby Gifford. I want to be better than that. I truly believe it’s important.

Perhaps don’t assume that everyone who has any opinion that differs from yours is the enemy?

I want him dead. I have zero qualms about it. He is one person causing irreparable harm to countless people. His death will 100% be a net positive for not just our country but the world. Maybe he should live a life where his death isn’t wished for and ultimately celebrated.

You need help.

Please. If you’d read the bible, you’d know that God kills evildoers by the thousands time and time again. It’s hardly wrong for people to hope God helps us out by doing his sky magic again.

That's Old Testament, not Christ.

Well, didn't he write the old testament? Or do you not believe in his divinity

Dementia can't be used as the excuse for this sacrilege.

What about impeachment and removal in the Senate?

He's gotta go.

Dementia + 25th Amendment are the only chance to save the Republican Party. They have to be discussing it.

The Dems have started the process.

For someone who is presenting themselves as high-minded and "going high", your posts are quite combative and judgmental. Angry really. Perhaps think about that deadly sin for a bit.

People have had it PP. I can't believe the things that pass my mind after 10 year so of this shit. We are WORN DOWN by the total horrid nature, corruption, lawlessness and endless stream of insults, lies, and filth from this POTUS. He is literally upending every part of our society and NO ONE seems to do anything to check him. We are human. He brings out the WORST in everyone and everything.

So maybe find YOUR compassion before you go putting down everyone else in this very extreme situation.

Can you quote the part where I put you down? I don’t know what you are talking about. I’m simply trying to explain a different way of looking at things and my intent was actually to calm you down. I’m in my 60s and have been at this awhile. Anger can be good but Trumpian tirades from liberals are not helpful.

If you posted more than once, you called people "evil". Pretty strong. No acknowledgment of the extremes we are living with and that we all have bad thoughts from time to time. guessing you aren't as perfect as you are making out.

Ok—I’m seeing what is happening. You are arguing with more than one person. I didn’t call anyone evil.

You need to focus on the actual issue instead of praising yourself for your own perceived moral superiority. Leave people alone. Besides depending on how recently Haitian (wth does that even mean?) you are, you might want to pay more attention to Trump’s plans instead of criticizing people who aren’t your enemies.

I had posted 2 fairly mild comments before this, but ok, I will leave people alone.

You’re going to just see this as someone trying to be superior, I guess, but I’m just an older lady who worries a lot. Please do what you need to do to settle yourself before you interact with people irl. Make sure you can be safe.

This is theologically incorrect. Jesus, the Hily Spirit, and God are one. God refers to itself as “we” and “I” in the bible.

+1 But the Bible was "inspired" by God. He did not write it. He did not take over the hand of the authors of the Bible, and write word for word, or whisper in their ear telling them what to write.

In any case, it is true... the OT is full of killings, including supposedly God telling Jews to wipe out every man, woman, child and lifestock of their enemies. I think Jews today are taking this to heart.

1 Samuel 15

2 This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘I will punish the Amalekites for what they did to Israel when they waylaid them as they came up from Egypt. 3 Now go, attack the Amalekites and totally destroy[a] all that belongs to them. Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.’”

The OT is still in the Bible as a foundation to the NT. OT is full of wars, killings, and weird laws that Christians no longer follow ("Leviticus 19:19 (NIV): "Keep my decrees. ... Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material."")

Now back to our regularly scheduled program.

My uneducated opinion? The Old Testament was designed to instill fear in people to “obey”; when that didn’t work, a benevolent being (Christ) came about, from which we have the New Testament. I find it interesting that Christians came about following the New Testament, yet they ignore the liberal ways of Christ in favor of the Old Testament and it’s brutality.

? MAGA Christians do that, yes, but not all. Jesus was the OG SJW and didn't care about man's laws. Jesus Himself broke man's law when He cured someone on the Sabbath.

I take it that you don't know many Christians.
