Regarding Fergie - she has enjoyed the benefit of the doubt because she crybabied about Duchess of Pork and her divorcee in-law issues, never having the charm to accept that her own rank choices were her fault. Andrew Lownie’s expose Entitled (about the Yorks) is getting some fresh material included in the paperback release. The “shagging weekend” email she wrote to Epstein has decimated the fantasy Sarah had tried to sell, that she took pride in her excellent mothering to her daughters. She is a disgusting, greedy monster all on her own. She and Andrew were definitely meant to be and the Queen’s failure to corral her son permanently damages the limited good she managed to accomplish.

As long as they fully cooperate with any police inquiries, why do you care? Andrew belongs in jail, but only the criminal justice system can make that happen. Do you think the royal family had evidence of his criminality that should have already been turned over? I'm open, but from my perspective I see a person whose role in his family has continually been reduced over the past 5 years, and who is very likely going to jail. And nobody from his family is going to defend him.

DP. The thing is, Andrew is currently under no compulsion to cooperate with police inquiries, which means he probably never will cooperate. Charles and/or William could make public statements urging him to do so, or Charles could cut off Andrew's finances and security to force him to cooperate, but so far they've only expressed "deep concern," which is the equivalent of "thoughts and prayers."

There's lots of complaining in Britain about how Kate's lazy and doesn't use her platform to champion serious causes. Instead she comes out once every other week and did that insipid "Seasons" video series with her voiceover reminding us there are four seasons and that connecting with people is good, or something something. If Kate could go on international ski vacations twice last year (at least) and once this year (so far), she's healthy enough to get back to work.

Diana worked hard, snuck into hospices before dawn without publicity, and used the same platform to touch AIDS patients and walk through landmine zones.
