The Virginia governor's debate is tonight!

Trans people are a very very small percentage of the population. If you vote because of that one issue, you are missing the forest for the trees. Your daughter may get pregnant. Even if she wants the baby, her healthcare will be at risk because of MAGA policies against abortion. She may find that insurance doesn't cover the pill, for example. If she wants to go to college, she may find it's harder for women to get accepted.

Because they've decided trans people are their boogeyman. It's a tiny minority so it's the ultimate punching down. The whole transvestigating has been turned on plenty of straight cis women (they even went after Charlie Kirk's wife). It's completely nuts.

DH and I mailed our absentee ballot this morning. It felt amazing voting for Sears.

We were never on the fence but that debate last night is one for the record books.

God help us if spankaburger wins.

The only thing that's grown is people harassing cis women for not looking feminine enough.

The anti trans people aren't pro women. They've repeatedly harassed little girls and teens for having short hair.

Everyone who is submitting a vote in this election should be required to watch the debate last night. It was incredibly eye opening. Spanberger behavior was simply atrocious. She is incredibly immature. Sears was direct and passionate. Spanberger was dead inside and out--refusing to directly answer the questions asked, refusing to make eye contact and address Sears. She looked like a weak pathetic child.

Didn't Spanbarger vote with the Dems to shut the government down?
I'm going to guess, going by past elections, she should win in Northern Virginia but lose down state
But the longer the shutdown goes on and the feds miss a couple of paychecks, they might well hold it against her

I watched it and just went and voted for Winsome.
A lot of the people coming out of the Fairfax Govt. Center looked like Dems though -- you know -- wimpy men and beefy shouldered older white women with glasses etc. We'll see
