UF is good school, but aside from the small area near the Century Tower (that they always include in their press photos) it is not the most aesthetic campus.

Compared to what school? I mean my kid was thinking about UF we toured it and I thought it a very nice campus. Although I did think FSU was more beautiful.

FSU does have a prettier campus and Tallahassee is much nicer than its "Trailerhassee" reputation suggests.

FSU does have a prettier campus and Tallahassee is much nicer than its "Trailerhassee" reputation suggests.

Give it a rest. Multiple posters think FSU has a prettier campus and better looking students.

UF ranks well. But, there are a lot of buts.

DD selected U of Miami vs UF despite being accepted to both. We are in the Naples area.
She is now a Junior and thriving. Best decision of her life.

DS went the other way. He is at UF, first semester. He was complaining about class sizes. He told him about it, but he wanted UF.

Interesting. I'm glad my kid didn't choose UF although he really enjoyed the campus and tour. U of Miami was not even a consideration due to the hefty price. If we wanted to pay that kind of money he would have chose Northwestern.
