| What stats are required from NoVA teens to gain admission at UF? Is a 1500 SAT necessary? |
|
Yes,
But only a fool would send any student to UF. What are you thinking in this political climate? UF alumni who was funding millions in scholarships at UF. Never again not one dam dime. |
| Leaving politics aside, I was turned off by the high ratio of students living off campus and amount of classes taught online. |
|
For DCPS kids it was high 1300s…only know one from class of 2025.
Not sure if NoVa would be treated differently. |
Lol. I’m sure they miss you |
| lol very few if any kids are getting into UF OOS with high 1300’s. |
| I think they’ll take anyone now |
| The politically climate means too much politician meddling in curricula and an unsafe medical climate. Look elsewhere. |
Yet somehow I personally know I guess the only one? That seems like a remote possibility…but maybe I do. |
OP here. It’s a big country with lots of options for all types of ppl. What a blessing! Most people in red and blue states are just trying to live their life and are apolitical. As for not sending children there, I could only guess what you are offended by but I’ll consider myself failed as a parent if any of your choice parameters are the goalposts of my kids’ lives. |
Good intel. I can dig into this further. |
| UF has some bright kids. Unfortunately it is run poorly and filled with riffraff… so that very small pool of bright kids have to fend for themselves… if your kid is self driven it may work out |
| Do your due diligence regarding their recent presidential controversy and possible prevalence of online courses. |
| It used to be a good stem school at one point until FL went MAGA crazy |
| I’m not sure it’s a good choice if they are looking into further schooling (med, grad, law) or employment outside of Florida after graduating. |
