Why must people burn wood???

I agree, OP

I have asthma and it's definitely worse when one of the neighbors is burning wood. Charcoal from grills is bad too.

What makes the neighbors think they have the right to put you through this with their stupid wood-burning?

It's the other way around, why does the minority get to dictate what the majority does?

Because they are clueless and because they prioritize their own well-being over that of the general public and, in particular, the environment.

Don't live in an old neighborhood with wood fireplaces then, or close-in homes. I met someone who complained about them smell of burning wood, but lived in Old Town Alexandria of all places. That's like moving to NYC and complaining about walking under scaffolding.

I love the smell of a burning fire, the warmth, and the look of it. We use out firepit every week and our neighbors frequently comment about how much they love the smell.

I don't. I hate it and your behavior is reckless. But I'm a kind person and won't tell you.

It is not a “smell.” It is the stench of the climate crisis which you and your MAGA buddies insist on furthering.

It has high amounts of fine particulate, not very good for anyone to breathe (and of course not good for the environment). There are several US cities that have banned fire pits etc I’ve noticed a trend on social media of health influencers warning against using scented candles, I wonder how many of them still sit around fire pits.

That is because there are no health risks. EPA notice is just plain stupid. Cities have banned because they are left wing nutjobs.

I also have asthma and have never been so bothered. Or by charcoal.

No, and I'm assuming you have never ever told anyone this in real life. Because you know you're wrong and people would righfuly laugh at you. But here you are, a brave keyboard crussader.

Me either. In fact, we burned wood in our kitchen growing up for cooking. But liars gonna lie.

Does it make people feel cozy and happy burning wood in the near summer? I find it super annoying to have to breathe in smoke being outside and not be able to open the windows. Come on!!! Please stop!
Nowhere near as annoying as you.

I am as progressive as you can get, but it's people like you that are just as much of a problem as the MAGA.
