Why the hate for Boston College?

Save money and go to a hot SEC school like UFlorida , Texas, UGa.

Except DePaul has a good basketball tradition.

Not that easy, UF and UT are ranked higher than BC.

Some say BC is the DePaul of the East Coast.

said no one ever except DCUM's prolific poster BC hater.

If by "average" you mean that 2 Catholic schools rank higher, then true. And "worth it" is relative. Obviously.

DCUM seems to have a very odd relationship toward Catholic (including Jesuit) schools. Sometimes they are ranked with non-religious schools, and sometimes set completely apart.

+1 This sums it up nicely.

Isn't this pretty much how it is at all private schools, though, not just those ones?
Some top schools still give preference to legacy or big donations...

Great weather fantastic sports and ranked higher than BC at a fraction of the cost. Go Gators.

It’s the combination of students whose parents can pay 90k with academic mediocrity that grates on a lot of BC haterzz nerves.

No one from UF ever told me to go there instead of Harvard, so that’s a plus.

Report to Jeff and see for yourself. There are many posters criticizing BC. Don’t be a bozo who thinks it’s so great no one finds fault.

It obviously carries some reputation as a white, rich, snobby student body. There isn't any school in the world that you can make some inflammatory comments about and not get a response.

this is the part where the same poster creates/invents his own narrative and then "responds" to himself as if anyone cares.

I’m a lapsed Catholic and a Georgetown grad so I know it’s possible to ignore all the weird Catholic stuff at Catholic colleges but I can definitely see why many non-Catholics are wary.

But you're so obvious with your numerous weird criticisms and odd fixation of peers and tiers. And you keep coming back for more. It's you. You're the problem.
