Why Math is so weak in private schools?

Many parent prioritize social skills and humanities over math. They want their kids to be entrepreneurs and lawyers. They will hire foreigners or ChatGPT for math skills. Sad.

People think that with AI the usefulness of math will eventually disappear.

Looks like SOMEone just had their first cuppa this morning and is spamming threads left and right.

Some kids are in dire need of SOCIAL SKILL training. There tune would be better spent there. Not doing more math. ChatGPT has math covered.

Or leadership/management skills. Companies don’t need more awkward math dorks.

Your leadership skills are evident.

Under the Trump administration, I only need subtraction.

Guess which skills do you need for creating the next ChatGPT. Hint: not social skills.

Good luck to your math nerd making that pitch to employers in 5 years. “I’m awkward and weird, but I can do a mean derivative in my head and will replace AI.”

The judges panel will consist of Zuckerberg, Musk, and Kalanick!

Artificial intelligence is replacing creative and humanities fields quicker than quantitative fields.

So…it seems all skills are becoming obsolete.

Even social skills. ChatGPT has more empathy than most parents in DCUM.

It's not that math is weak in private. It's not about the school, it's the family's self selection. Private parents consist mostly of those work in high finance, law, business, and medicine. Public parents, at least some, are tech workers, who lean toward CS major for their kids.
