You do realize it was just a bunch of dudes trolling the media, who promptly took the bait, right? |
Which dudes? White dudes? Which media? Seems like too many white people involved for it not to have some credibility. White people are crafty and very clever schemers. I never underestimate white people. They’re capable of anything. |
Are you talking about all white people or just the ones with the little hats? |
| What’s wrong with All Lives Matter ? |
It's insufficiently racist. It's not divisive. It fails to suggest that only one race matters and should have a place in public infrastructure where everyone can be subjected to the message. It doesn't allow the D.C. government to present as enlightened far beyond those poor fools who don't find such inane messages morally uplifting. |
I'm not a fan of the BLM slogan, but it's not that hard to understand it. Let's say a police officer was killed senselessly by a thug, and people decided to have a march called, "Police Officer Lives Matter." Would you object to that and insist that the march be called, "All Lives Matter"? |
In reality, many progressive jurisdictions have forbidden their police departments from using or supporting the slogan Blue Lives Matter, which was adopted in response to the BLM propaganda which asserts that black people killed resisting arrest were killed because of their race instead of because of their conduct. So yes, the libs object to the notion that lives other than black ones matter. |
By running around screaming "Blue Lives Matter" while acting as GOVERNMENT WORKERS in response to some protestors chanting "Black Lives Matter" it adds one more piece of evidence in potential lawsuits against the jurisdiction for racist and unequal policing. Remember, cops are GOVERNMENT WORKERS. If they police citizens in a racist manner, your jurisdiction will end up paying out in lawsuits and your taxes go up. That's why they can't hoot and holler "Blue Lives Matter" while at work. They are government workers and have a sacred responsibility toward citizens. |
Sure, only BLM, we get it. |
You think a bunch of white liberals object to the idea that any lives except black ones matter. Really? It's all just self-hating white people? |
| I am glad the site is being restored to a normal street. The effect of the lettering was ugly, nobody ever visited it, the lights were unsightly (and several broken) and the traffic flow was messed-up. We also need parking. It added nothing to our city. |
Stop dodging my question. Would you object to a march with the slogan "Blue Lives Matter" or "Police Officer Lives Matter"? |
Eh. I liked it. Removing it isn’t going to magically add enough parking to matter. |

BLM was such an obviously fraudulent scam that Amazon dropped them from their funding platform back when Biden was still president.
BLM is still a scam. |
It wasn’t exactly my cup of tea, but didn’t the plaza become a fairly big tourist attraction? The new DOT head doesn’t like street murals in general so I wonder if this puts the entire street mural project in jeopardy under the guise of road safety. |
