I see no totals yet on the NWS website. On TWC app I see 3-5” and on the “Weather” app I see 10-12”. So, who knows?

The weather apps share algorithm results. They are not reviewed by actual meteorologists. The predicted snow totals change wildly until the date gets closer.

The Weather Channel says 7-11” inches for Fairfax VA, if you add up Sunday night, Monday morning and Monday evening accumulation.

No totals yet, but their homepage has an announcement for future heavy snow storms in the Mid-Atlantic.

The Apple Weather app says 10-12” in Springfield but that seems like an outlier. CWG seems to be in the 3-6” category, maybe favoring more the 6” end of the range at this point. FYI for all you snow newbies to the DC area, 6” is 2 full days of closures for sure, and at least a 2 hour delay and possibly a closure Wednesday! It depends when the snow falls. If it’s more on the very early Monday/Monday during the day side of things, closure Wednesday. If it’s more late Sunday, you might get away with a 2 hour delay Wednesday. The plows don’t really start on the surface streets until the snow is over.
