OP didn't say who either party voted for, but the answer is the same no matter what. They have fundamentally different values.

They seemed so good together and talked of marriage once school was behind both of them. Of course I asked why even though it’s not something I would normally do. I’m more of the are you okay and let me know if you need anything kind of parent. His answer, I cannot take four years or longer out of my life of being told men are evil and I f g hate them. He said life’s just too short and he just wants to enjoy it, enjoy his work and enjoy his friendships without over analyzing every single moment or person. People really need to stop making politics the center of their personal being. It’s just not healthy.

Still not a good fit.

Strong political beliefs are not exactly attractive in a woman. OP's daughter will probably replace the bf easily, but the issue is whether the next guy will be an upgrade or downgrade.

What a gross outlook. I'm glad women have a political voice and choice. People who don't care about this stuff are lacking depth of character.

Caring and obsession are two different vehicles in life. Crossing that line is damaging in so many ways.

Yes, the obsessive worship of Trump by MAGA to the point where they deny reality and defend his easily-debunked lies is so damaging to them and to our country. It's cult-like behavior and so hard to deprogram.

MAGA/President Trump are dealing with reality. VP Kamala Harris lied repeatedly during the 107 day campaign in an attempt to trick voters. VP Harris lives in a fantasy world of celebrities and the ultra-wealthy who thrive on telling others what to think & believe rather than focusing on listening to voters' real world concerns.

The right person & party won. The far left was just focusing on silly issues that are a sure sign of a society's downfall. And, before you guess/assume my politics, I am a registered Democrat (which will change soon) and I respect & adore Independent Senator
Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Nicki Haley, Joe Manchin, and many others holding opposing positions.

How can you say "I adore Elizabeth Warren and Nikki Haley" in the same breath? Nikki Haley has no morals and no values. Her opinions change based on what the Republican Party said the previous day.

Tell your daughter to adjust her attitude or prepare for life with three cats.

She had no idea he felt the day he did, is it normally to brake up with someone mostly because of politics reasons? She's a 25 year old preschool teacher.

Maybe it was just a convenient excuse to break up because she didn't want to deal with the real issues? She is 25, my guess is he wasn't willing to talk about a future

If my choice is being single with a pet and being with a man that doesn’t think I should have rights, I’ll take single. Thank you very much.

That wasn’t nearly the huge gotcha you thought it was.

She broke up with him because she probably has read about Josseli Barnica and Navaeh Crain.

Ma'am, this is about A LOT MORE than her ex-bf just voting for someone different that she did.

Most elections don't have politicians who are so morally and ethically different. Bush and Clinton voters probably had a fair amount in common. Harris and Trump voters do not.

It's best they broke up.

I’m sorry that people’s votes disrupted your plans to eliminate your future offspring.

Jessoli Barnica and Navaeh Crain did not plan on eliminating their future offspring. Have any disgusting snarky comments for them and their families?

Seriously. Three cats, yes please! Cleaner and kinder than selfish manbabies that do not want to lift a finger or raise their own children. GTFOH with the trite cat insults. They cannot hold a candle to cats!!!!

She does not need to ADJUST anything; she has standards and dropped that loser. She knows that she cannot be with someone who does not respect her, women, and her reproductive rights--ALL OF WHICH AFFECT HIM. If she gets pregnant, suffers a miscarriage and dies, what if they have other children?? Those children are without their mother and he is without his wife/mother of his children. But I guess he would just look for the next warm body to replace her...

I see how slavery continued for so long in this country.

My husband and I voted differently. We were able to discuss our choices peacefully and we both most agreed with what the other said. We are generation X and respectfully disagreeing is normal for us. I have always had friends with all different political views. Makes for interesting conversation. Both DH and I consider ourselves independents and we this isn't the first time we have voted for different people.
