My 20-year-old daughter shared a similar story. Delving into politics revealed they had a very different understanding of the world.

She felt he wasn’t willing or didn’t have the capacity to think through how his vote and political choices would have implications on policies and alter how people live day to day.

Hearing his political view and what was important to him also helped her realize he would be the type to skirt the rules whenever it suited him. She realized she didn’t want a relationship with a person who was just in it for himself.

So?

She doesn't need to be with anyone dim enough to vote for Trump.

Also, over half the population DID NOT vote for Trump.

He didn't even hit 50 percent of people who voted.

Exactly. Trump voters are very shallow thinkers and innately selfish.
