Unfortunately, I do understand the explanations quite well. I accept them and that's why I hope it bites them. That's not denial, hon. |
We do. He's a serial adulterer, sexual predator, liar, and bully. And someone desiring to be a fascist. And y'all thought that was better than having an accomplished woman at the helm. Cool. But that reflects on you, not me. |
Trump negotiated with terrorists to plan that withdrawal and he drew down early putting us in a no win situation. You voted for the A- hole who set that up. |
Trump negotiated with the Taliban instead of the Afghan government, agreed to draw down our troops and release 5,000 Talibans prisoners from our custody. Trump also agreed to a deadline for complete withdrawal that happened to fall during Biden’s term. Biden delayed the total withdrawal by a few months, but realized we didn’t have enough troops there to keep order. His choices were sending more troops over or just pulling out without putting more US boots on the ground. You can criticize the chaotic withdrawal process all you want, but Trump is not blameless for the parameters he set for the incoming administration. You can’t seriously believe Trump will lead the way in helping Sudanese refugees? You’re upset about our support for Israel and the fact that we haven’t done more to help the Palestinians. You cite the fact that we didn’t have this war under Trump, as though he kept Netanyahu in check, while Biden gave him free rein to slaughter Palestinians. It’s Hamas who started this conflict, not Israel. Yes, the US needs to increase the pressure on Israel to stop this genocide, but guess who is actually a friend of Netanyahu’s? Donald Trump! So how does electing him help Palestinians? Also, we don’t support Israel out of the goodness of our hearts. We benefit from having a middle eastern country with a powerful military as our ally. We have a lot of the same enemies. We arm the Israelis so their soldiers fight instead of ours. |
How dare people think for themselves! |
Losing teams need to go back to the locker room to review the game to see why they lost. Then make necessary changes to try and win the next game. |
Cases of medical malpractice even for pregnant women existed prior to the overturn of Roe Vs Wade. We will always have to handle cases of malpractice - it’s a leading cause of death in the US. But again, treatment of miscarriages has always been allowed and that won’t change, neither will a mother’s ability to get an abortion to save her life. |
Kamala said she wouldn’t have done anything differently. Remember that? |
You underestimate self hate. |
No one is buying the BS that the chaotic withdrawal wasn’t Biden’s fault. Give me a break. He was the one responsible - who delayed the withdrawal date of May 1 of that plea deal but then pushed forward rapidly in August even when it was clear the Taliban wasn’t cooperating with the agreement. |
Tell that to the doctors who are refusing to be residents in red states. Their numbers are significantly down. The impact is going to be that OBGYNs are not going to those places and women will have to drive hours for care. It's already happening. |
There’s the law as it’s intended in theory and then there’s the law as it is actually applied in real life circumstances. You can write these cases off as malpractice, but these bans incentivize malpractice over intervening when a pregnant woman’s health goes south. Some women have already died because of the type of callous disregard you’re exhibiting in this thread. Accepting more malpractice, incentivized by the law, is not pro life. |
If that were really a problem, red states would respond. They aren’t struggling to fill their obgyn residency slots. |
There is zero evidence that the cases amplified in the media were caused by doctors fearful of prosecution rather than medical error and no evidence that there are more pregnancy related malpractice cases now vs a decade ago, or in red states vs blue. You’re responding to anecdotal media stories being promoted as part of an agenda. |
No one accepts malpractice. We all want these cases to result in consequences for the doctors that make terrible calls. That’s true for pregnancy care as well as all the other forms of medical malpractice that exist. It’s idiotic to suggest that someone “accepts” doctor error. |
