Why aren’t dems expelling him from the Senate?

Don’t democrats have any integrity? Republicans kicked George Santos out of the House for less serious charges than this. Why aren’t democrats doing the same thing?

Don’t democrats care about not having any decency or integrity?

Go back in the thread a ways. Multiple Democrats have said he should step down. Fetterman is joking about getting his parking space. Zero Republicans excluding Romney have said anything. You need two thirds to expel. And if you’re comparing him to Santos, they waited to expel him until the Ethics Committee investigation was complete. Also, there have been three other GOP house members in the past few years who were convicted of federal crimes and never expelled. (Trump pardoned the first two btw). I spend about a third of my time in Jersey and I want this guy effing gone, and I’m a Democrat who doesn’t know WTF Schumer is thinking, but Santos is the exception not the norm.

OK, if Santos is the standard now you need to wait for the Senate Ethics Committee investigation to be complete, and I’m not sure why you’re blaming the “Dems” when they and Romney are the only ones who have called for him to step down. Ask all of the other Senators, 48 of them Republicans, who haven’t already said he should go to see what they say. Again, you need two thirds to kick him out, not just “Dems.”

I assume you mean how Santos has been re-embraced by his party, invited to the SOTU, and is planning on running again, so Dems should go ahead and embrace Mendendez instead of calling for him to resign as Fettermann has.
