Not likely, as it typically occurs in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy/personal loss.
More likely it was heart disease leading to a cardiac arrest - Sinead was menopausal, had suffered a very difficult perimenopause and she was a long time smoker. Women with that profile are commonly victims of heart attacks in their 50s and 60s.
I am heartened to know that she didn’t succumb to her depression and grief by her own hand. It gives power back to her admonition after Shane’s death that nobody should follow him down the path of suicide.
