These are my sorority colors (yeah I know, shut up) and I have always thought they were so beautiful together. I never seen them combined in fashion.

She always looks really beautiful on the red carpet to me but also dour. I think it's because she avoids smiling due to her teeth. I don't think she's self-conscious -- she could of course choose to fix them and chooses not to. But I think it's a conscious choice from her style team to preserve a certain image for the red carpet (she embraces the wonky teeth for roles).

Why does she have bad teeth when her father owns an NFL team?

I think she purposefully chose to keep them (unlike sister Kate) because they make her look interesting and it has enabled her to pursue different kinds of roles. I think it was fully a career move -- sometimes perfect is boring, plus there are a million perfect-looking actresses in Hollywood. Her family background gets her access and opportunities, but her more off-beat looks make her stand out a lot more than Kate. There's a reason Rooney's at the Oscars and in a nominated film and her sister is not.

Because Rooney can act and Kate can't

She does indeed. They are so perfect.

I think she looks amazing and the dress is gorgeous. HOWEVER. My issue with Cara is that this is just too much of a dress for someone who isn't even nominated. She's like "yes, I know I was a mess a few months ago, but look at me now!! LOOOOOOK AAAAAT MEEEEEEEE. PUH-LEASE LOOK AT ME!!!!"

Just give it a few months until Barbie comes out and you'll get EVERYTHING, LOL

All I ask is have it tailored. It can be a great look, but this just isn't.

Berry

Nope.

This is gross and inappropriate.

Oh please why?

I don't need to see your pubis on the red carpet.

No, not at all. He’s a very sarcastic sort of person so I think he was doing a sort of “oh please you don’t need to do that” kind of look that was captured awkwardly. He’s a lovely person, I’ve known him for years. He’s also not super comfortable with public/recorded speaking as evidenced by his recap happening now.

Awful, just awful!!!

Eva looked incredible onstage. One of the only white dresses that isn’t boring.

She's celebrating that vogue cover

To be fair, I don't think it's her fault that everyone else whiffed their dresses. She brought it. They really should have too. It's the Academy Awards Red Carpet. Shine a little, people! At least rise to the level of your average high school prom dress.

I feel like she keeps channeling Mia Farrow just to punk us.

It's streaming on Amazon Prime so one of the nominated movies that's really easy to watch for most people and it's got Buckley, Frances McDorman, Claire Foy, and Mara Rooney in it and they are all great. Written and directed by Sarah Polley (who I think looks great tonight I'll post her in a second). I feel like the movie has been weirdly overlooked for a nominated feature and I just recommend watching it (this is still ugly AF though I think she's doing that on purpose, it's her thing).

Oh Lordt. Well, someone has to bring the weird and this is definitely weird.

Anonymous wrote:SO MUCH WHITE TONIGHT. This is so bridal and isn’t doing anything for her.

I said this upthread, but I think this dress was selected for how it would look onstage for a win and I do think if she wins it will look amazing up there. The closeups showed that the fabric is this super delicate, fluttering lace with a little bit of shimmer, and I think it will move beautifully. But agree it was extremely underwhelming on the red carpet after a season of her doing a ton of super amazing high fashion. I think she just went with "I want to feel pretty" for the big night, which is totally her prerogative, but as a viewer of course I want more drama.

It's a really young look. She's gorgeous and I don't hate this, but I don't love it.

If you are going to demand people look at you when you aren't nominated, then deliver. She delivered. You can't hate someone for just looking flawless. What do you want her to do, ugly it up?
