Except that Youngkin can’t let Ford build the plant in VA under any circumstances now or Fox News will brand him a pro-China stooge and Youngkin’s political career will be DOA.

Ford can’t put this anywhere else, they are pot committed to this site and need this built IMMEDIATELY. KY and TN can’t accommodate them and won’t give the money as they’ve already given Ford too much and would deny more for the same reasons Youngkin is denying (China owned). If they try to build it in another state it’s going to set back Ford’s plans YEARS and be a logistical nightmare. Youngkin has them over a barrel. Youngkin is a financier shark, not some born rich bimbo like Whitmer.
