Barbie trailer

You guys really know how to take the joy out of things.

I like the new Dua Lipa song that is constantly played in the previews.

The “flat feet” scene looks so dumb. Where everyone screams when Barbie says her feet are now flat. They have already spoiled what are probably the “best” parts of the movie already. Not promising.

What? You’re not impressed by the people who hate the idea of a certain movie that hasn’t even come out yet, and aren’t going to see it, yet park themselves in a thread about it?

The reviews are positive so far! I was still going to see it anyway. Hope the killjoy upthread enjoys Oppenheimer!

Yes, a lot of people are excited about this movie. It's a weird concept with fantastic marketing, and indie movie royalty writing and directing. If it gets bad reviews, then sure no one will see it - it'll be another Babylon. If it gets good reviews, it'll be huge - and might even get Oscars.

It’s going to flop - mark my words.

We'll see. I suppose my kids (girls, 16 and 12) and I (51 YO mom) are the target demographic, but we are ready to see this on the big screen.

It's going to do well. Ignore the PP. This is the only movie my kids want to see this summer. All the others flopped because nobody went to see them. That's not the prediction for Barbie.

I can't wait until July 21. I don't go to many movies in theater any more but will be going to this one. It's going to be so cheesy.

So you like cheesy movies?

Indeed. There's enough horrible things in this world, I don't need to see them in a fictional show as well.

Well jokes on you, because there is Oscar buzz!

It’s not meant to be a kids movie.
