This is true.

If all the child is eating is hot dogs, and the family has not talked to any doctors, eventually, the child will end up in the hospital. And that family will get a visit from child protective services

I think it’s likely that the child is getting a multivitamin too.

Do they hide it in the hotdog?

Ha ha. Ha. I think we have to consider the distinct possibility that OP does not know everything about what this child's parents are doing. You can get multivitamin drops and hide them in water, but the also come in gummies and tablets that are basically candy and those are not going to be distributed at family functions.

Yes, that's a distinct possibility. Maybe the family forces the kid to drink an Ensure shake every morning. Or force down a vitamin.

But, something similar happened in our larger social group. The child would only eat one thing. And that child eventually ended up in the hospital due to malnutrition.

So, if OP is telling the truth and its only hot dogs, the child will eventually have serious health consequences and the family will get a visit from CPS while they are at the hospital
