To be fair, they called Kate and Pippa the Wisteria Sisters because they're always climbing. They called her mother low class because of the way she spells her name. It was before they were household names in the U.S.

"The work"? They "work" more than Kate and William, that's for sure. In fact, Meghan got an incredible amount of flak during the time she was with the Royal Family because she worked too much.

People always trot out that attack without actually articulating quite what they mean to. Even in the most unforgiving interpretation, there are plenty of people out there who "want to be famous without actually doing the work" but who don't receive a sliver of a fraction of the completely hostile and cruel vitriol directed toward M&H.

Not a "fan", just someone who's observed this specific trend of hatred (along with, say, Amber Heard, Britney Spears et al).

You seem to be confused. Meghan was “out” on maternity leave for most of the 15 minutes she was a working royal. She’s been capitalizing on that duchess title and all the heaps of agony she endured during her tenure since then. I’m not sure where the story that MM works so hard comes from besides her fan club and her PR blitz. I do agree that she seems way way more focused on accomplishing fame/ wealth/ connections/ star status than any other royal wife.

No. Not mistaking. Meghan was definitely on the EAstern standard time zone and emailed people early- but work hard? Aside from the couple tours she did with Harry nope, she didn’t work hard. But It doesn’t matter anyway since now she works for herself. Charles is no longer paying for Megan’s million dollar wardrobe and they’ve gotta pay for that fancy mansion with the designer chicken coop!

Grenfell cookbook, guest editing British Vogue, multiple tours… and that’s just off the top of my head. Seems like a whole lot for 15 minutes, especially if she was on maternity leave for most of it!

And yet now one of the biggest complaints people have about her is that she’s workshy! So which is it?

She has been in the US the last 3 years, with full control, large staff, top shelf resources and money thrown at her. All she has to show for it is 12 podcasts produced by Spotify (since the duchess could not deliver).
