Yes, I agree the rule is stupid. And the people acting as though it’s the only way to be safe apparently think NYC is being unsafe. |
That’s convenient. It allows you to claim whatever you want, without proof. Of course, we would see evidence of Broadway shows being shut down because actors got COVID from unmasked audience members. That doesn’t appear to be happening lately. What’s your response to that? |
But whole shows should be routinely shutting down due to massive cast infections, according to posters on here. |
Right. For people claiming to be following the science and the data, I’m waiting for all the data that supports their arguments. |
Hihuhuhahahahehehehohoho |
My response is neither you, me, or anyone else can say anything definitively. The KC is choosing to be cautious to a level that you don't like. Too bad for you. |
Nah, see that’s not it. You and other posters are acting as though the need for masks is objectively the only way to avoid mass cast outbreaks that will shut down shows. I’m just asking for evidence of that. |
You need proof that any mask is better than no mask? Given that the KC requires masks, many people will choose a good one if they have to wear one. |
How do you know that? |
Yes, I want proof that masks prevent outbreaks. Given that Broadway itself doesn’t require them, it seems we have a pretty good experiment going. NYC should be seeing cast outbreaks if your argument is correct. |
Masks reduce transmission. KN95s do this better than cloth and surgical. Reduction is good. Total prevention clearly cannot be the goal. I can't believe you need this explained to you and it's almost 2023. Bye. |
DC knows better, you fool |
So you have no data to prove that this is the case, even given vaccinations and COVID likely being endemic at this point. Got it. |
You better get on the phone with all the Broadway theaters and explain this to them, since they’re not on board with you. |
Not only does she not have any proof her argument, we have definitive proof against her argument, as Broadway casts are and have been doing just fine. Even without their audiences "protecting" them with masks. |
