How about we make murder illegal? Oh wait, it already is

So, why bother making murder illegal. Is that your logic?

How many school shootings have there been in the UK?
Ireland?
CANADA?
Australia?
New Zealand?

? not sure what your point is, but those countries have very strict gun control, at least I know in the UK they do. My spouse is from there.

But to answer your question -- many already have posted a chart showing how the US is far and above all other countries, including 3rd world countries, in terms of the number of school shootings.

Good guys with guns are not stopping the bad guys with guns. The gun culture in this country is the problem and the lax regulations are a symptom. It all needs to change.

Yes I know that was my point. I was responding to some dingbat saying 'well murder is already illegal' dur dur dur
Same BS that Ammosexuals bring up all the time. Along with 'then make cars and scissors illegal' freaking idiots

oh, yes. It's the same stupid logic... "murder is illegal but it doesn't stop murders..so we don't need more murder laws, right"? Then why bother making murder illegal. Heck, why bother having laws since someone will break the law.

We have speeding laws, but most people speed. Why have speeding laws?
We have theft laws, but we still have theft. Why have theft laws?
We have anti-corruption laws, but look at how many corrupt people there are. So, why bother having corruption law.

I mean, why bother having *ANY* law, per that ammosexual's logic.

But we do have gun laws, and criminals and mentally ill people break them. Keeping guns out of the hands of law abiding, sane citizens will not fix the problem. Crack down on real criminals would be one way to get started. But instead, we're doing the complete opposite.

When are you leaving?

Because Europe is the safest place to be right now…

Unless you're Jewish. Or Muslim. Or Black.

The PP was being sarcastic.

Driving, Taking a bath, swimming pools etc

Let’s see … over the past few decades auto regulations have been enacted to improve safety, car seats are continually being improved, setback/fence line requirements exist or else pool owners can be held liable for injuries on their property, etc. but for some reason we throw up our hands when it comes to guns and declare that nothing.absolutely.nothing can be done to make them less deadly. Guns must be special I guess.

here's your problem most of the activists want to ban/outlaw guns. If you went in with more reasonable approaches you might actually get something accomplished. Blame the left wing activists.

For YEARS now “left wing activists” have been asking for common sense gun reform. But the absolute temper tantrum the right has at any mention of regulating gun ownership has left us feeling like maybe we need to just scrap the 2nd amendment and start over. It’s like when my 7 year old gets upset when I try to limit using the iPad. At some point I’m like fine, if you can’t be mature and handle some screen time limitations, then I’m going to take the damn thing away.

Sorry NRA gun nuts, but you’ve proven yourself to be tantruming children about your guns. So you need a timeout at this point.

Trump stacked the federal courts and SC with judges who have lifetime appointments. Change is not coming anytime soon.

I think this one incident alone "impacts" more than 100 kids this year. Hundreds of kids in that school will be "impacted" for years.

I am ex-military, I like guns, but this can't continue. I am willing to give a little on my gun rights to help stop this madness. We live in such a world of narcissism and callousness. I would give my right arm in a bet that the PP wouldn't be so rigid in his/her thinking if it was their kid who died like this, scared and confused, screaming for their moms and dads.

I know that many gun rights supporters say that the answer is to stay armed. Most of these people have been watching too many movies. With these types of weapons, there is little time to react, and most people freeze up and get killed.

I pray for all the families tonight. May God take care of these little ones.

Yup. Reasonable approaches are met with "they're going to take all our guns!!!" So why not go for broke?

Most mass shooters aren't criminals until they become a mass shooter. They are the "sane, law abiding citizens" who get guns legally.

But let's talk about "sane" and gun ownership. At one point, Obama tried to implement a law that prevented people who had diagnosed mental illness from buying a gun. Guess who fought that. Yep. ammosexual, "pro-life", Rs.

So, your argument doesn't hold water.

I come from a hunting family. We hunt on horseback with a pack of hounds.

We support a nearly total ban on firearms, even if it means no guns for us.

basically, yes.

That's why they are pro-birthers, not pro-lifers.

Channel your fury and outrage into FUNDRAISING FOR GUN CONTROL.

This is what saving lives is all about.

45,222 gun deaths in 2020.

Most could have been prevented with bans on gun sales and possession.
Don't wring your hands. ORGANIZE.

That sounds like a big number but more than 10x Americans were killed by Covid in the same year. If the Republicans didn't care about that, they won't care about this.

Yup, because they’re pro-life only when it’s related to a clump of cells in a woman’s uterus. Otherwise, they are pro-guns, pro-death penalty, pro-war, etc.
