Her “Miss Flo” commentary in the video resulted in Florence Pugh pulling out of all but one media event for the film (at lest, that’s a good assumption based on the timing of the events). So I don’t think this is a media stunt. She is outing touting her feminist bonafides and in the process she not only got caught lying about firing a male co-star but also speaking somewhat disparagingly about the female lead. That lead happens to be one of the biggest upcoming stars in Hollywood. So, no, it is doubtful that this is a narrative to promote the story. Also Jason should not have served her at a public event, but talking openly about in an interview to get more attention for her movie isn’t classy either (for the sake of her kids). She had the opportunity to say “that was really unfortunate but it’s a private matter and I will not discuss it further.” |
Which apparently has nothing to do with why he left the film. |
Link? Or are you referring to something in an article already posted? |
Ehhhhh. Shia LaBeouf has every motivation in the world to make himself look better in this situation. It's practically right there in the article:
Shia LaBeouf is worried about never working again. And what Wilde actually said about him is:
She never said anything about his behavior that is some feminist warrior thing. Variety implied that because they note that AFTER he was fired from Don't Worry Darling he was sued for sexual battery. I'm not surprised that the director of a film tried to work this out and sent that video message to one of her leads. It doesn't mean she didn't fire him later. Sorry, I'm not accepting the Shia LaBeouf version of events here. |
Search Entertainment lawyer or other similar gossip site, there’s been tons of cheating rumors about him over the years including when he was in other relationships (pre Olivia). |
Best thing to do here is to not see DWD. I hope it will be a flop and everyone can move on. |
He quit. She basically begged him not to. This was before FKA Twigs outed him. |
But dcum hates women so we get this misogyny every single time. |
I think two things can be true at once: 1) Shia is a terrible person who is also leveraging this for PR 2) Olivia misrepresented what went down in order to make herself look good and it backfired |
Didn’t she say she fired him? |
Or got fired. |
What video? |
She lied! He debunked her lies. |
You saw that video where she is begging him, also calls Florence Pugh « miss Flo »? |
Ugh. I mean, I get the ego/power thing, but why lie? |
