Oh they know that all right. That’s why they’re terrified.

Nobody is teaching that white kids are inherently bad. You guys totally made that up. I’m a woman. If I make a statement such as: “Women have been oppressed by men for centuries” it does not mean all men, all the time and it does not mean that you—if you are a man—have oppressed women. No need to take any of this personally. Get it? I’m white, and I don’t take discussions about whites and their role in perpetuating inequities personally. It benefits us all to understand why things are the way they are, both good and bad.

What a dumbass viewpoint. Just because you don't care does not mean others shouldn't/don't care. You do you. I do me and I will call out a racist when I see one.

Isn’t that hypocritical?

Yes, I'm just sure this is happening. In your fever dreams, maybe.

If you think the students are on the side of the book banning parents against the teachers who relate the real world the students live in, you don’t know kids at all.

The students I know are disgusted by surveys telling them they are inherently racist and microaggressors. It seems YOU don't know kids at all.

Those are imaginary students and imaginary surveys. That’s as delusional as it gets.

Really? My senior and her classmates took screen shots of these surveys. There was a huge to-do about them, the teachers who organized it were reprimanded, and it was discussed in the news. FCPS HS.

What surveys are you talking about? My DC is a recent FCPS grad. I will ask them about the survey—you’re not the only one that “knows students.” Better yet, do you have a copy?

I just posted. This happened last year. My kid is a senior. It’s discussed here at about the 5 min. mark.

That’s made up bullshit. You are the ones who make everything about race by banning even one book that gives a black point of view of history, literature, politics, religion, or any topic. Your insistence that the only perspective allowable is school is that of the oppressive conservative white patriarchy is deplorable.

Now this is an example of made up bullshit. Please do link to books that have been banned because they “give a black point of view of any topic.” And no, “Beloved” wasn’t controversial because it was a “black POV.” It was because of the violent rape scenes. We’ll wait while you back up your ridiculous claim.

The fact that you think this is something Republicans worry about (or care about) makes it blindingly clear you have no clue. But it's fun to think you had a gotcha moment, isn't it?

Hint: Republicans are simply sick to death of TALKING ABOUT RACE, period. No one cares what race you are. Well - Democrats care obsessively. But no one else.

Once you understand how much of our social structure is established around racial issues and what needs to be done to achieve actual equality, the sooner we can all move forward. Your attitude and beliefs are literally the problem.

Oh, do tell! Tell us - specifically - what needs to be done to achieve “actual equality.” Last I checked, all Americans are entitled to the same rights. Again, provide links.

Terrified? Of what, exactly? Many of us ARE POC, are biracial, are married to POC, have biracial children. What - exactly - do you imagine we’re “terrified” of? Stupidity, maybe. You people are frightening.

I think the republicans problems stem from youth sports giving everyone participation metals.

It’s been in all the news. Ruby Bridges story. John Lewis story. Anything about the history of racial discrimination or civil rights. All are being branded as CRT and attacked by your racist parent mob. You don’t want your kids to know the truth.

This is not being branded as CRT.

Do you know what is being branded as CRT? "Woke Baby." "Not My Idea" etc. Look them up.
