Her 75th jubilee is in 5 years and she would be 100, so time will tell if you have a correct prediction. |

Diana gets sh*t because she had borderline personality disorder. Guess what? I have borderline personality disorder. And I work really, really hard on myself. Among other things, I meditate for 2+ hours a day, and I chose to remain childfree because I don't think my brain can take the stress.
But I have opportunities that Diana didn't, for all that I'm just some American citizen and she was from one of the oldest, richest families in Europe. Diana was raised in a time and culture where they covered up mental illness in shame, and the British aristocracy knew nothing about meditation, yoga, emotional regulation, or just having honest conversations. Plus, she was a teenager. Have you seen her in those old interviews? Where Charles looks suave and rehearsed, she looks awkward, insecure, and sad. His face is smooth and she is unable to hide her facial expressions. That's not a bad woman, that's an unprepared, uneducated, vulnerable woman. We also don't know that Diana was just "spreading rumors" about the nanny, as another PP said. Whatever bad decisions Diana made after her marriage, I put it down to her not being medicated properly and not having the emotional regulation tools and supportive, educated friends she would need in order to handle life. So on top of Diana being BPD, she was trapped in a notoriously narcissistic family where everyone had the advantage over her. So yeah, I wouldn't put her in the same boat as Sleazeball Charles and his mistress. |
| My opinion is that I’d never take seconds. |
Camilla was always first. Diana was the seconds. |
And it’s a true shame that not one of the adults in the room had the courage to be upfront about that with Diana — before she got engaged. |
Diana tried to back out at one point during the engagement when she realized the truth about Camilla and her sisters pressed her to stay. |
Diana would have been gutted. She would be in her third or or fourth marriage to a middle eastern cokehead and Camilla will be Queen consort. |
Ouch. But I suspect there's an element of truth to this. People too quickly forget Diana's life in her last few years was not heading to a good place. She was running around with a wildly unsuitable playboy boyfriend. It was getting messier. After Dodi, then who would it have been? Another erratic playboy? She didn't have the fortitude or temperament to be pragmatic and settle down quietly. It's interesting how different she is from her sisters, who were both of much stronger mettle. And it does seem like Camilla is going to be Queen. The Queen herself more or less stated it. It will happen. |
Camilla the mistress would have never married Charles - Diana would have made sure of it. The fact that he had to wait a further 8 years after her death to be able to marry a woman he'd been tipping since the 70s proves it. Diana would have been living a glamorous life in New York City and in London just like Jackie Onassis. Charles was being out-maneuvered legally and publicly which is why he gave her $18 million in the divorce and then she was dead a year later. |
Psychologically damaged people can still educate themselves on the royal family. Princess Margaret most notably had a psychiatrist and yoga and mediation was practiced by several members of the royal family who were contemporaries of Diana. Diana had her own family with two older sisters, a brother, and her grandmother. After her marriage ended she was not part of the royal family and her family should have helped her. |
It’s kinda sweet that you think Diana had power with the royal family. Look at how they cut out an actual king and member of their family and then how Harry and Meghan were cut loose. Diana was dead to them no matter how much you think she had power. Her worse action was to cross Philip. |
Diana had a poor relationship with her own mother. |
A) She didn't cross Phillip - Phillip considered Charles a disgrace and a sniveling coward. He even said in writing "I can't imagine anyone leaving you for Camilla". Charles choices were never his and the father had much better taste. B) Diana was a daughter of one the oldest families in Britain and the mother of the future King. She wasn't 'dead' to anybody until they put in her in the ground. Before that Charles would have had to share custody, visitation, and all the major ceremonies of William's life with her. Better believe she would have relished that. |
What about a Doberman? I Googled it and nothing came up. |
Diana called Camilla a Rottweiler. |
