Official Brett Kavanaugh Thread, Part 5

Doesn't it seem like she would have called Leland Keyser when she remembered this whole thing after she told her therapist? Keyser's name wasn't mentioned in the article with WAPO. Did she just pull it out of a hat thinking her good friend would support her story?

Did she cook this thing up at Rehobeth? I'm beginning to think so.

We still haven't seen the therapist notes. She said Kavanaugh's name is not in them. Makes the story a lot more interesting when you learn in 2012 that Kavanaugh's name is on the short list for Romney.

Wow, she really is a scheming, wiley woman isn't she, so brilliant and patient to take the long-term view of setting this all up 6+ years ago, just lying in wait for BK to be nominated to then pounce. You kind of wonder though why she didn't spread his name around MORE if she were so intent on taking him down, don't you? Huh. Scratching my head at that one. You'd think she could come up with more details in the 6 years she's been plotting this all so that it would be more "convincing." You also kind of wonder about the coincidence of BK being on the short list and her just happening to know that BK and Mike Judge were drinking buddies and that they just happen to be around her age. Such a coincidence!

Oh come on- he’s been a potential nominee for a very long time. I admit cooking it up a few years ago took some foresight, but I don’t think anyone has claimed that Ford isnt smart. She sure knew what she was doing. Thank goodness her scheme did t work.

Because it will always be a damned fight against the crazed liberals. It never ends, we need to keep fighting to keep it from falling back into their hands. Poor Kavanaugh will never live in peace again because of you lying sociopaths. We will never forget and a supermajority is coming.

And there’s the anger.

Who is this “you” you’re talking about? Every person who posts on here is an individual. They are parents and librarians and doctors and office workers and social workers. It’s full-on paranoid and does nobody any good to rail against this monolithic “you liberals.”

And yet all we are hearing from the left is how Kavanaugh needs to pay for all rich white males

Yes we do. People apparently love anger and bullies.

Honestly, the GOP does the smoke and mirrors so well. Dems need to learn to manipulate. Dems need to learn to work like marketers do. Go for the emotion and patriotism. Logic and reason don't work with most people. Sad but true.

The difference would be to manipulate people into backing policies that ACTUALLY would be helpful to them and not lying about it to just line the pockets of the wealthy.

Good point.

As a pp said above, Obama went to Yale, watched the deficit, and was a war hawk, but somehow they right doesn't vlike him.

Another story of a drunken, out of control Brett Kavanaugh has come out. It was part of a large stack of the THOUSANDS of tips the FBI received during its 5 day "investigation"

One document likely in the stack would be a notarized statement submitted to the FBI Tuesday by a truck owner, who allegedly confronted an inebriated college student who was “smashing the black cargo box” in the bed of his parked Ford Courier on a New Haven, Conn., street in the fall of 1986.

“I yelled again at the person, and realized it was Brett Kavanaugh,” reads the statement, which goes on to allege that the future Supreme Court nominee, “uncontrollably, incoherently drunk,” later refused to pay for the damage when confronted over the incident at meeting of Truth and Courage, the secret society both Yale undergraduates belonged to. Judge Kavanaugh, through his attorney, denies the incident took place.

The former truck owner, whose redacted statement was reviewed by The Wall Street Journal, says that Truth and Courage members met twice weekly through senior year to hang out and drink. When “heavily drunk,” Mr. Kavanaugh, could turn “belligerent, offensive and even possibly criminal,” the statement says. The judge has denied such allegations about his alcohol habits in testimony before the Senate.

Arge O'Neal, then a Yale freshman, said he was friends with the truck owner through the swim team and heard him complain that Mr. Kavanaugh had "broken into" his vehicle.

The ABA should bring this up.

Are they? What does this have to do with black people?

Need to ask them - but of course none of the liberal media will ask.

Can’t say for sure because I’m white, but I’ll venture a guess that black women are also victims of sexual assault and lose their black children to gun violence everyday. And there’s that whole freedom of speech and non violent protest thing. Try to keep up

If black women are also victims of sexual abuse, why do they need to segregate themselves? Does “women” not automatically include them? Because that makes it sound like they’re making themselves less than. God, why must everything need to be about race?

Because race is central to this nation's history. It has been one of the defining elements of our nation from the beginning and led to the greatest schism and crisis we ever faced as a country and has filtered through many if not most of the major conflicts in our society of the last 200+ years including the most recent decades. Most white Americans have never engaged in any meaningful way with this past.

Please, read some books will you?

Your answer doesn’t answer my question. Why would black women want to set themselves apart in this issue that all women face?

Now, thanks to the actions of the Democrats in the Senate, along with the entitled, screaming banshees in the halls, the voters KNOW. See you at the polls next month.

Spare us your faux piety, you the party of Newt Gingrich, JUdge Arpiao, Mitch McConnell, Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, Laura Ingraham, Rush Limbaugh, Roy Moore, Charlottesville, QAnon, Comet Pizza, Richard Spencer, and Donald Trump. You sold civil society for a SCOTUS seat and were happy to do so. Your president insulted Gold Star parents and made a war widow cry, he bragged about grabbing women’s pussies and just this past week he mocked a woman for telling her story of sexual assault and you said that’s fine as long as we get SCOTUS in return. Your president takes ideas from a man who says the Sandy Hook parents are crisis actors. And it doesn’t shock or disturb you. You have no moral authority to opine about hateful Democrats as long as you sit back and do nothing about the ugliness that inhabits the White House. You are morally bankrupt and we are coming to take our country back.

DP

Another great example of someone who is so partisan they can't be taken seriously. Guilt by association is bs. A sizable list can be put forth with Democrats as well.

As an Independent who has never been a member of a party it's people like you, and they exist on both sides, that keeps me away.

Wow, that Schumer. Now he's yapping, saying that Trump "stooped to new depths" with this nomination. This from the man who said he would do ANYTHING to block Trump's nominee before he even knew who it would be.

Sure glad that the leaders of the Suffrage Movement and the Civil Rights Movement didn't think like you do.

Work on your reading comprehension - the "aggrieved truck owner" was Kavanaugh's Yale classmate and fellow secret society member who apparently had seen him "heavily drunk" many times.

"Why would black women want to set themselves apart in this issue that all women face?"

Because they don't get treated the same way as White women when they are attacked, hired, pulled over, promoted, given medical care, etc... Until White women understand that the benefits of the women's rights movement won't magically be equally shared by Black women without proactive work on the part of White women, it won't.
