Right. She did not. She unofficially recanted by saying different things in an NBC interview. Yet the interviewer didn’t call her out on the blatant change and substantial lessening of the allegations. |
Can’t say for sure because I’m white, but I’ll venture a guess that black women are also victims of sexual assault and lose their black children to gun violence everyday. And there’s that whole freedom of speech and non violent protest thing. Try to keep up |
| Wonder what kind of stupidity Harris/Schumer/Booker and their merry men will bring to the floor? |
If black women are also victims of sexual abuse, why do they need to segregate themselves? Does “women” not automatically include them? Because that makes it sound like they’re making themselves less than. God, why must everything need to be about race? |
YES, this is why it was overplayed! They knew and it sent a signal to anyone who came forward that their accusations would be hard to prove. |
Thanks for explaining. Crystal clear now. |

"Elites" in this usage are not the wealthy, they are the people who are educated, cultured and dare I say it...global. Trump and Kavanaugh are wealthy but they act like blue collar Americans - rough, uncultured and ready for a fight. Trump is always rough and uncultured, his fans love it. Kavanaugh needs to be able to put on a show of culture enough to be judge, but he won confirmation by showing he is actually a boor underneath. |

Because race is central to this nation's history. It has been one of the defining elements of our nation from the beginning and led to the greatest schism and crisis we ever faced as a country and has filtered through many if not most of the major conflicts in our society of the last 200+ years including the most recent decades. Most white Americans have never engaged in any meaningful way with this past. Please, read some books will you? |
He wasn't threatening nor bullied those who questioned him. He didn't participate in a cover up either. |
Unfortunately, ignoring or downplaying the role of race is central to our history education. It goes something like this- We created a country built on freedom, except we had a few slaves in the South. That was bad but we solved it through the Civil War. Then everyone was free but unequal, and that was just okay until the Civil Rights Movement, when we fixed that. Now we are all free and equal, so if you think you didn't get a promotion because your black, you are just making excuses for your own lack of merit. |

Initially, I believed that something had happened to Ford. The more I think about it, the less certain I am.
Doesn't it seem like she would have called Leland Keyser when she remembered this whole thing after she told her therapist? Keyser's name wasn't mentioned in the article with WAPO. Did she just pull it out of a hat thinking her good friend would support her story? Did she cook this thing up at Rehobeth? I'm beginning to think so. We still haven't seen the therapist notes. She said Kavanaugh's name is not in them. Makes the story a lot more interesting when you learn in 2012 that Kavanaugh's name is on the short list for Romney. |
Honestly, the GOP does the smoke and mirrors so well. Dems need to learn to manipulate. Dems need to learn to work like marketers do. Go for the emotion and patriotism. Logic and reason don't work with most people. Sad but true. The difference would be to manipulate people into backing policies that ACTUALLY would be helpful to them and not lying about it to just line the pockets of the wealthy. |
Obama went to Yale, too. He was a fiscal conservative committed to lowering the national debt and a hawk, too. Gosh, I wonder what their Obama hatred is all about? Hmmmmm. |
