Comparing with their current teams isn't particularly useful though. Once a club has GA they recruit a mostly whole new set of players pulling from mostly ECNL-RL teams but also neighboring GA and even ECNL teams. This is what happened here with VRSC and SYC last year. Most of the players on those teams in GA this year were not at the club pre-GA. |
Especially VRSC, they just kicked all of their existing players that they told were "Family" to the side for the FCV girls that didn't follow BP to VDA. So yes, you can improve relatively quickly by going to GA. |

GA concentrating on NoVA, SF, Seattle, Chicago with these adds. Perhaps be close to NWSL teams or potential NWSL expansion teams?
Noticing a pattern here. |
| So which clubs are left that have ECNL girls and MLSN boys? Seems like they will all go GA soon. |
'Family' is BP's schtick. Nobody elses. |
It’s rumored Oregon is getting an MLS team in the near future. |
What in the world? |
| SoMD is dropping the ball. Consolidate all those teams and get into the mix. |
Portland Timbers? They're MLS aren't they? |
What’s changed in Chicago? |
I've thought the whole GA/NWSL homegrown rule theory was mostly fantasy, but you're not wrong here. |
| new announcement for GA addition |
Do we really think Alexandria is getting GA? |
I don't understand why you'd think homegrown wouldn't happen on the women's side. Every other major league has it. If NWSL doesn't implement other leagues (USL) will and they'll be behind the curve. MLSN and GA are working together. It's just a matter of time before MLSN attributes happen within GA. |
