2030 Girls Lacrosse

That description fits many of the mid-level A teams. It could be anyone of them.

I would not describe a mid-level A team as mediocre. But I would M&D DC

True, but being in the top brackets brings more colleges and more frequency. Not sure big difference between bracket 1 or 3, but certainly when you get to Presidents Cup or LFTC with 28 brackets, you wanna be in the top ones.

There's a noticeable difference between the top 5-10 teams in each age group and the next tier. That's not to say they are more talented, they just play better as a team.

I think the big difference is depth. Our team is mediocre overall but we have 5-8 girls who could compete with some of the best. The top teams have 24 girls who are as good as our top 5-8 players are we cannot keep up with the skill at every position for their first and second string. We often start strong and lose badly in the 2nd half.

Are you M&D DC?

I don’t think M&D DC plays any top teams for this to occur, I’d guess more like YJ.

Probably YJ. They have around 5 or 6 players that could play anywhere. DD plays with some of them on other teams. Not sure what's going on with the rest of them.

If there were tiers, M&D DC would be around 4th or 5th tier. Can't imagine what MDU DC would be. Certainly worse.

Yellowjackets DMV is ranked 34th nationally.

M&D DC is 99th.

No comparison.

I don't think M&D DC has 5 girls that can play anywhere. If they did they would have left by now.

When you say anywhere which teams are you envisioning. Is that mnd black, hero’s, Md united? I’m just curious.

YJ has some good players. Not sure the blanket statement they can play anywhere is accurate.

STARs 2030?

What’s the question?

I think YJ has 5 players who are competitive with players from top teams, but those top teams have players in every position of that caliber. Some of these girls play together in other teams or at school.

You still didn’t answer the question. If these girls can play anywhere why are they not at an mnd or Md united or hero’s? If they were that good there would be back channels being worked to get them over.

I don’t think it’s YJ because no one on the team would describe it as mediocre! Must be M&D DC. Stars Light Blue is also pretty solid.

MDDC has a few top players. As a whole it is mediocre. Makes sense.

Not everyone wants to leave their friends and drive to Baltimore for practice a few times a week. Those teams don’t have a gap in certain positions nor would they kick off a similar player for someone new
