Just watched the latest episode and can’t get over what a train wreck Candiace’s mom is. A therapist?? No way could this woman have gotten her doctorate. She is pure trash. I think Candiace is a spoiled brat, but by comparison, she now ooks quite normal. I liked how Dr. Ken put her mom in her place. Candiace and Chris need to sell their house and move into a small place they can afford on their own. No more money from the crazy mother.

Chris seems like a good guy and I was truly impressed by the delicious sounding food he made for the ladies. Poor guy, all that work and no one truly appreciated it.

I agree. I don't know how that woman is a mental health professional. But Candiace could put all of this to rest by moving out and buying her own house. She and Chris are living off of her mother, so just move out and your mom can no longer claims she pays for everything. I would be embarrassed if I were a married couple and my MIL pays my mortgage.

Yeah Chris seems like a normal, decent person. Same with Monique's husband.

To become a therapist, isn't it just a matter of studying a while and you get the certification? In other words, you get certified as long as you study, even if you're bad at what you do?

It's not a 'where there is smoke there is fire' situation, but it does reveal a lot of judgement of sexuality within the black community.

Realistically, not one of those women have NOT repressed/sublimated themselves with their men, past and present.

I would agree that any woman should question being in a relationship with someone who self identifies that way, regardless of race. Often "I'm bi" is code for "I'm not ready to self identify as gay". Either way I don't want to be in a relationship who isn't fundamentally into my parts- that's a no-brainer. Also I'm not into catching a disease because of someone else's choices and lack of honesty.

Yeah, I don't get this. How expensive could that townhouse possibly have been in Oxon Hill/PG? If they can't pay that mortgage I feel like they should at least be able to afford to rent an apartment or townhouse in that area or somewhere close-ish to Old Town. But I bet Candiace is bougie and wants something "fancy" aka new construction.

I wonder how her mom is "rich." How many PsyDs or PhDs are rich? (And does she really have a PhD?) I think they've probably spent a long time creating that illusion...pageant-world style. That's not a cheap hobby so I bet they've put a lot of effort into keeping up appearances.
