I was thinking between 300K and 500K - the affiliates add to his income, DC is a top ten market, and he has been at 99.5 for nearly 10 years. In addition, did they make quite a bit from selling the old house? That could have been a decent down payment in the mansion they bought (which I really question why they bought such a big place, was Natasha's family going to move in or something?).

they actually lost money on the old house. i don't remember the exact figures but i want to say somewhere between $50k-$100k, which begs the question of why they did it then.

They bought that house at the HEIGHT at the housing bubble. Everyone who bought houses in the area in 2006 was an extremely unfortunate victim of poor timing. Unless they lived in that house for 5-10 more years, there was NO WAY they were going to break even. I'd move on too, if I wanted and could afford it.

i went back and looked it up, it was $85,500 that was lost. i just wonder the motivation to move to such a large place in combination with taking a loss. the new place is very nice, though I don't love the kitchen or the floors.

But we are talking an 8 bedroom, 8 bathroom house. That is ridiculous.

Agreed... I really dislike how outdated the interior looks ... And those stone/tile floors yuck... And I find it hilarious that people are saying he bought it to make N happy. They could have any number of reasons to want to move, many far more likely than "to make N happy". Also anyone that has been following this would know that the MIA rumors are probably nonsense.. Even N has said that P is loyal to a fault. He may be an asshole but I don't think he is a cheater. John on the other hand...that perma-college mentality is so annoying haha

Did anyone notice how this morning on the show they were talking about how a woman wrote in about her workaholic husband? It sounded coincidentally similar to Kane's situation. John even said something about how being a workaholic was OK because he was sure the wife enjoyed all the money he was bringing in.

I think it's rude that P keeps airing his dirty laundry on air... he never once named N but the situation sure sounded similar. I texted in to the show saying that Kane's true colors were showing and it was unattractive and I got nasty texts back from John AND DANNI! I'm starting to find them all annoying...

The same reason a wealthy couple with the no kids in the house needs an 80million dollar estate with 30,000 square feet...in other words if you have the money to afford it you don't need any reason other then " why not? ".

What did the texts say?!?
