they actually lost money on the old house. i don't remember the exact figures but i want to say somewhere between $50k-$100k, which begs the question of why they did it then.

He did it to try to make her happy. Its common...try to make things better now with hopes it becomes better in the long run. Always ends in a disaster.

Granted, radio is usually a risky industry, but in Kane's case, he has affiliates so I think his job is safe. Otherwise, he shouldn't have tried to "buy Natasha" out to make her happy.
