Team manager here but in touch with the inside knowledge. LMVSC has approached Gunston twice in the past two years to merge; however, it's not going to happen. It's a personal thing that neither side is willing to relinquish. I've seen the numbers, balance sheets, and have gauged interest for next year; there's a real possibility that the club's underperformance will not only continue but worsen than its current rate. I suspect we will cease operations for high school teams, or, will have to identify a different path for league play. We may have the 2005 girls red fill in for a missing CCL slot, but everybody else will likely be registered in a cheaper league.

Wow, this is fake news. Not only did the LMVSC family gain members this year, but we also gained teams.

lol. Gained as in had other teams play under their name?

I think they were trolling appearing to be a club staff by using "family". Definitely did not gain members or teams. Lost teams at the high school level and did not increase teams at u12 and below.

Then why beg Premier AC to help them out?

Anyone know why the 5k was canceled today? Supposedly it was canceled due to weather but the 1st day of Spring could not be more gorgeous. Oh and how will affect scholarships?

It’s a feeble attempt for LB to cancel blaming something other than the cause and hoping the weather would be cold or wet. It is a sign that LB continues to operate the same way she has in the past. Rather than canceling for the real reason (lack of interest or participants), she claims it will be postponed so she can keep the few dollars that did come in.

This flyer is misleading at best and misrepresentation at worst.
"TRAVEL SOCCER COACH:

2. LMVSC is not a member of CCL Championship; although there is speculation that CCL may move them from CCL Premiership to CCL Championship due to the low numbers and poor results*. With several clubs leaving CCL, this is still just rumors.

6. *Poor results: a previous post in this forum outlined the results, I'll search for it and post again.
7. Last but not least. LB has hired 3 technical directors since Jan 2019 (and rumors are circulating that LC, the point of contact on the flyer, won't be around next season)

W/L/D ~~ GF/GA/GD ~~ place in table

CCL Standings (boys)
U12: no team in CCL
U13: 2/2/4 ~~ 9/12/-3 ~~ 9/18
U14: 2/5/0 ~~ 11/19/-8 ~~ 13/18
U15: 3/5/0 ~~ 8/17/-9 ~~ 10/18
U16: no team in CCL
U17: no team in CCL
U18: 5/8/0 ~~ 19/32/-13 ~~ 10/18
U19: 3/8/2 ~~ 23/46/-23 ~~ 6/10

CCL Standings (girls)
U12: 4/3/0 ~~ 14/13/+1 ~~ 8/18
U13: no team in CCL
U14: no team in CCL
U15: no team in CCL
U16: 5/5/2 ~~ 17/19/-2 ~~ 8/18
U17: no team in CCL
U18: no team in CCL
U19: no team in CCL

Here are the CCL results; NCSL results aren't available but every team either moved down at least one division or didn't move up a division; there are no teams in Div 1. Seeing as this and the previous post are for future coaches, I think it goes without saying its not the players' faults. LB drove away a technical director and the majority of red team coaches; in turn, most of their players left. This left us needing to compete in CCL without players that are able to; this lead to poor results and even more players leaving. This is the pattern we are in now; even parents on this board admit they only want to stay in CCL as an attempt to recruit in players. When EM left, LB hired two technical directors that quit without even receiving a paycheck. LB then hired LC; this was an attempt to recruit SYC players (it didn't work). LMVSC needs to reassess its league membership, or, will be removed from CCL by force.

Small correction on the girls side - there's no 2012G team unless it's formed in the past week and I somehow missed it. The 2011G team is playing NCSL with a squad that is half 2011 and half 2012 and there's only 1. Thought there was only 1 2012B team as well, but not certain of that.
