No sense splitting hairs (unintended pun, but I’m keeping it). He’s a pedophile. Just like so many other Republicans, all of whom are evidently acceptable to the GOP. |
I thought this was we and I liked all the jeering. They do better getting rid of their hot air with jeering instead of pontificating. |
I am posting from Ohio and I’m here to tell you it doesn’t matter. Google his “district” sometime. It’s fitting for him, as it looks like sprawling malignant tumor. |
|
Sidenote: everyone slams Elise Stefannik’s suits, but I really liked the magnets suit with peplum that she wore the other day.
The color looked good on camera and the cut was flattering. |
This doc will get national attention and he will be asked many questions. He will look like a fool if he dismisses the accusations of the boys (now men) involved. Remember Denny Hastert! |
And I’m telling you those questions won’t be asked on conservative news stations. His voters will not watch that documentary and will never hear about any of it. |
+1 They have no clue that Gym Jordan eagerly watched the sexual assaults of dozens. |
| McCarthy now claims that the 14th vote was a No because Gaetz really wanted to have extra time to get everyone back to the gallery and at least voting "present." To show unity. Uh huh. |
|
Republicans are an embarrassment. What a sad display this week in selecting the Speaker.
The House of Representatives will be a sh*t show for the next 2 years. |
Very proud. The last thing I want is a lockstep vote, like the pretend ones in communist countries. There were some major concessions to get McCarthy the speakership. He didn’t just get it because it was “his turn” |
|
So... will Gaetz finally get the Armed Services subcommittee chairmanship he asked for on Monday Jan 2nd? Given the titular chairman Mike Rogers lunged at him last night on the floor, does that mean it's a done deal? McCarthy says nothing was promised. Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen. And more largely, will all the holdouts be punished or rewarded for their opposition? |
Are you really this stupid? Disagreements are healthy and needed. Both parties have plenty of those. But this clown show this week was NOT substantive arguments on the issues. It was a political show of influence from the far-right, and it will lead to similar ones during this 118th Congress, just because the Republican majority is so slim it won't be able to pass any legislation without consensus - which it does not have! Are you saying you prefer NO legislation, to consensus legislation? That's anarchist thinking, and utterly unproductive. |
Yes. After this last huge bill. No legislation is better. |
Oy. You probably think raising the debt ceiling is optional. |
