Wow. He’s neck deep in orange BS.

Well your guys is neck deep in Clinton and Weinstein BS. Both such great examples of treating women well. This does not even take into account his sleazy business dealings .

No, Democrats are mostly worried about the Trump Republicans who are still pushing The Big Lie. They are changing state laws to allow partisans to throw out election results with zero evidence.

Supporting Youngkin means you think this is acceptable.

You are a loon. I’m one of the Democrats for Youngkin. I am COMPLETELY in favor of having to show ID to vote and very much agree with Youngkin on that topic. It’s INSANE to let people vote without ID. Anyone can walk up proclaiming they are anyone and vote? That is truly nutty and problematic. I think it’s also incredibly condescending to say that black people are too poor and stupid to bring an id to vote. Talk about racism. Give me a break!

Yes very worried. Have Obama, Jill Biden and Stacy Abrahms out on the trail with him. Will see if it works.

Cutting taxes and services appeals to old time republicans

Youngkin is winning over voters based on school-related issues (in my local area).

Every time FCPS mentions equity, its another bump for Youngkin

Every time posters trash equity, I remember the history of racism in Virginia.

Equity requires discrimination, so it's not surprising that reasonable people trash it.

Right. I’m one of the democrats for Youngkin above. Equity (as the word is used in modern contexts) requires that we all become race obsessed racists who ascribe every.stupid.little.thing to race, to micro aggressions, to atoning for generations long gone. Enough. I became a liberal because I believe in being compassionate and treating people fairly. I did not sign up for this load of baloney.

And most of all, I didn’t sign up for a world where I can’t disagree with ANY of this insanity without being attacked and called racist. So, yes, I’ll be voting Youngkin.

X1000. This nonsense up thread about equity meaning no one brings an ID to vote. Have we lost all basic common sense???

Ok. Why its not insane to not require an ID to vote. We did it for most of the history of voting in the US until the early 2000s.

You are the one being condescending by saying there are two p*** stupid to get IDs. If you were being intellectually honest, you would look at the true systemic issues that keep you from getting a government issued ID in certain parts of the state

This nonsense is where democrats lose people like me. It is completely reasonable to expect someone to show evidence of who they are before voting! That is just so basic, I can’t believe there is debate surrounding the topic. Republicans are 10000000% correct about this. Sorry.

I mean, you are arguing that I should be able to show up to vote saying I’m you? Can you imagine what chaos that could unleash. Talk about undermining democracy.

When Republicans enact ID requirements they specifically limit it to ID'S that minorities and young people are less likely to have (including hunting licenses, for instance but not also state university IDs). They also closed DMVs in minority areas so poorer people would have to drive an hour plus to get an ID.

If ID requirements came with free easy to get photo IDs, I wouldn't have an issue with them.

Please. This is nonsense. There are dmvs everywhere. Insisting on no ID to vote is INSANE. I’m completely with R’s on this

It’s not about voter id! It’s about substituting election results with the wishes of state legislators under the guise of “election integrity.” This is what happened in Georgia and other states!

It’s about undermining our democracy by claiming there was election fraud or the election was stolen when it was not. Youngkin surrogate is already gping around telling people Democrats are working to steal the 2021 election from Youngkin. If you care about our democracy, you would not vote any Republican in unless they have stood against their party’s anti-democratic efforts (like Cheney).

DP. If you need a source for this, you clearly have done precisely zero to understand the voter id issue and therefore are not worth debating with.

Interesting that he needs to bring in high profile people from outside VA to help drum up support.
Is Joe going to come and help him out? LOL.

It is scary. So many people are unwilling to think past one personal issue to the bigger picture of our democracy.

It is scary that so many have fallen for lies, conspiracy theories and propaganda instead of facts.

It is scary that we had a violent insurrection on our Capitol and people have fallen for Republican whitewashing and are fine to vote for a party that doesn’t care for America’s democracy.

Maybe those voters don’t actually support American democracy either. I wouldn’t assume it’s ignorance, I think a lot of them know exactly what they’re voting for but try to dress it up as something else because they know it’s treasonous.
