Odd that Harry is wearing his military medals.

Megan is in a full length coat in Los Angeles.
Her entire outfit was listed on Megan’s Mirror/her site/how to buy

They hired a professional photographer to capture their bowing and scraping.

All staged.

Apparently their Archwell site gets about 12 views a day?

This is so gross. There’s no other way to view it. If they wanted to honor fallen soldiers, they could have done so without trying to commercialize it. Then again, they have a huge mortgage to pay.

They're just another couple of vulgarians working the grift.

PP w long post above

Agreed it’s all vulgar and monetizing on the backs and under the auspices of Veterans Day is twisted and nearly sacrilegious. They created their own photo op and are traipsing through a cemetery, just private citizens paying their respects. Ugh. Disrespectful and disgusting display.

This article sums up the yuck factor of their personal pap walk at the cemetery.

This underscores what their critics have been saying since Day 1: they don’t want privacy; they want celebrity. Gross.

I normally abhor the Daily Mail but they are spot on. This was a very poor choice on their part. It would have been so much better if donated to a related charity or even when themselves with no photographers.

Wow, I know the Daily Mail comments are full of haters, but this is different level incensed. Jeez, the graveyard stunt is clearly stupid, but hardly evil.

Markle and Harry are trying to ca$h in on on the sacrifice of armed service members. Meghans Mirror shows you where you can buy everything she wore to the cemetery. Yes, it is evil

What does Meghan’s Mirror have to do with M and H “ cashing in” as you call it? You’re blaming Meghan because fans like her taste in clothes? And deeming it “evil”? That’s unhinged, at best. Your public hatred, or whatever these posts mean to you, is a lot closer to “evil” than some fan’s posts about Meghan’s clothes.n

The Royal Family placed wreaths at the Cenotaph on behalf of the various armed services and regiments they (Royals) represent. They weren’t doing this in a personal capacity. Harry doesn’t represent any branch of the armed services, nor does he represent a regiment anymore since he wanted to go out on his own to get rich.

If Harry had been in the UK I doubt he would have been at the event since he decided he was out, not in. So why should they have put a wreath there in his name? Doesn't make a lot of sense. You have to wonder if he's kicking himself yet for making such a rash move without thinking through all the consequences. He gave up a lot to lead his new life, time will tell if it was the right choice.

But they had already made the wreath (£1,000 btw) so why not put it down?

Why make a wreath without confirming that it will be used first? Why not redirect to another use once told no? Other private citizens (which they are in this capacity) can’t just send up a wreath and expect it to be used. It seems pretty manipulative to have one made then start going “oh woe are we, they won’t use our wreath” for something as regulated and symbolic as this event.

They didn’t make the wreath. The organizers of the event did. And it was made last year.

Also not to encourage anyone to read the daily mail but they frequently have links to buy clothes royal and royal adjacent folks are pictured wearing.

I don’t necessarily think it was a PR thing; the day has always been meaningful to him, and he felt the need to honor that in some way, all these miles away.

But he’s not royalty here; we don’t have royalty in the USA, and the gestures and traditions that carried great weight and significance in England have no real meaning or impact here.
All of the gravitas is gone - poof. That has to be hard.

Are the real royals getting kickbacks when somebody clicks on a DM link and buys the clothes? Is this an apples to apples comparison? Otherwise its apples to oranges if Meghan is profiting off Meghan's Mirror and creating opportunities to get dressed up and play royal to sell some clothes by parading around in cemeteries, of all places.

Clearly I'm not the entertainment follower I thought (feared ) I was, since I don't get this Meghan's Mirror thing. Is it connected to her? Does she get kickbacks (or comped clothes because of it)?

Agree. The photos of them in full British Royal drag in the LA sun we’re just incongruous. If they would go live the private life they claimed to want, they would retain some mystique, but right now they’re looking thirsty and a little sad.

Anonymous wrote:I think Harry genuinely cares for veterans. But this is self promotion. They should have done what a lot of celebrities do and use it for a veteran cause. Leave the pomp for the real royals, and be the prince and princess of people’s hearts. But no... they ruin everything.

This. There are so many ways they could have done something meaningful for veterans. But they instead choose to look pretty for a photo op? Putting down non-poppies for non-English soldiers in a random LA graveyard. I mean, this isn't even good cosplay!

+1. It also was ridiculous to see him wear medals on a suit in that context. Rare to see a member of the American military wearing medals while not in uniform. It’s like he needs to show people he’s legit.

He needs to honor the dead with a professional photographer documenting everything?

DP. I have a family member who is a Korean War vet that has done something similar for Veterans Day. Does not seem that weird.

He hired a photographer to take pictures of him placing flowers at graves? My father was a WWII, Vietnam and Korean War vet and woukd never have drawn attention to himself for paying his respects to his fallen comrades.

It was a "damned if they do, damned if they don't" situation. If they didn't do it, all the tabloids would have been screaming "disloyal Harry disregards Remembrance Day to frolic in LA with Meghan as she demands his full attention!" They really just can't win ever again.

Why did Harry skip (as captain of the Royal Marines) the IRA victim's memorial to go to the Lion King premiere if he is so *loyal*? And this was when he was still a working royal, not a *private!* citizen of LA. I guess networking with Disney's Bob Iger and Beyonce was more important.

So that was their two choices? Hardly. Dressing up and taking pictures with your own photographer is narcissistic.
