She is a beautiful woman with such low esteem trying to hold on to an ideal for her sons. But in the long run her boys will suffer more once Juan meets someone he falls in love with or just wants out without placating Robyn. I think Robyn could benefit from therapy with her mom. In Season 3, Robyn asked her mother about taking and AncestryDNA Test because she wanted to learn more about her mother’s side of the family. Robyn’s mother shut down the discussion pretty quickly. The other reason is Robyn feels “responsible” for Juan as her family took him in during his high school years, which probably means Juan came from a pretty difficult background.

If Robyn continues with Juan, they could both benefit from therapy and true healing but they both have to learn to live and let go instead of this touch and go. It’s heartbreaking to see a woman devalue herself for a few crumbs of what a man chooses to give her on a daily basis.

her repeating "I said I love you" like 3x was so damn cringeworthy. to each it's own and people have to figure their own shit out, but honey is getting a terrible edit w/this juan relationship. not a good look.

I completely agree

+3 she embarrasses herself over him every single episode it seems. As direct as Gisele is I don’t see how she hasn’t come out and said “Robyn, He’s just not that into you”. While I don’t care for her personality, Robyn is a beautiful woman. If she wants companionship she could have plenty of men to choose from, there’s no reason she should be wasting her adult life on Juan.

And 1st poster - Juan’s story is pretty well known to locals and those who followed UMD basketball, he did indeed have it rough growing up. Still, I think he’s beyond over Robyn and there’s no need for her to feel compelled to take care of him.

It's also well documented that he was head over heels in love with the girl that he left Robin for.
He would have married her & spent the rest of his life with her, had she not broken up with him.

He was completely devastated after that & went right back to the ol' watery green eyed well.

"He has two young sons, Corey and Carter. He is divorced and now shares his days with a woman he calls the “love of my life.”

I think it's spelled "Cris". At least that's how I've seen it spelled in articles. Also, I have a female coworker that goes by Chris but spells it Cris.

I watch this show for a number of reasons but what fascinates me is how deeply insecure even the older women are. I mean the young women have an excuse. Looking back on my 20s and 30s I'm not proud of some of the things I did but by the time you hit Karen's and Giselle's ages you ought to have stop worrying so much about where you stand with people and be willing to cut people some slack.

I used to watch all the Housewives shows and had to wean myself off all of them except the local one but one key thing I always look for is who among all these folks who are so worried about keeping up with the Joneses will turn out to be kind, supportive, mature, and not so defensive about their social standing? But I know that that doesn't bring in viewers so I suppose it's in the cast's interest to take offense at half the things the other people are saying to them.

I like sober Monique. She is pretty normal and down-to-earth when she's not drinking.

I was appalled by Katie and Ashley's tassels. OMG, why?

Did it seem to anyone else that the guests at Gizelle's father's bday party seemed annoyed by Gizelle? It didn't look like any of them were very happy to see her.

Are Gizelle's parents divorced? We hardly ever see her mom.

I never heard about this, but seeing how easily he refers to this woman as the “love of his life” makes me even more embarrassed for Robyn. I hope she wasn’t waiting around for him while those 2 were together. What’s the story on their breakup?

Wow. Anyone know why they broke up? I didn’t realize the divorce was so long ago.

She *loves* him. She sees his potential.

Savior complex.

Robin has no self esteem. Juan is broke and I truly don't think they can afford to float 2 households. Juan gets his cake and can eat it too. Robin wasted a decade of her fertility too. She could have easily moved on after the divorce. I think she was like 32 when she got divorced...so young!!! Now they are 40+ and set in their ways. She blew it and he is along for the ride.
