I thought it was sad that they couldn’t find an English soldier to honor but only two from the Commonwealth. And one lays poppies for Remembrance Day not random garden flowers. Meanwhile the ceremony at the Centopath was small but moving. |
The courtiers follow the royal rules If you are not a royal the rules do not apply |
I think Harry genuinely cares for veterans. But this is self promotion. They should have done what a lot of celebrities do and use it for a veteran cause. Leave the pomp for the real royals, and be the prince and princess of people’s hearts. But no... they ruin everything. |

This article sums up the yuck factor of their personal pap walk at the cemetery. This underscores what their critics have been saying since Day 1: they don’t want privacy; they want celebrity. Gross. |
Except they seem to make up the rules as they go. They’ve continued to put a wreath down for Prince Phillip since he has retired from public life. And the organizers of the event had already made a wreath for Harry. The big question is if they put one down from Andrew. |
Can you imagine the conversation between Sir Andrew Ford’s office and Meghan’s typical Hollywood PA with vocal fry asking that a wreath be laid at the Centopath on behalf of Harry?

People have way too much invested in what these people do. Y’all need a new hobby. |
But, but, they just want PRIVACY!!! (not!) |
Well, to their credit they did leave Archie out of it. They could've easily had him toddle up to the grave and plunk down a bouquet in typical toddler fashion which wouldve totally driven up media buzz and paparazzi fandom. |

This. There are so many ways they could have done something meaningful for veterans. But they instead choose to look pretty for a photo op? Putting down non-poppies for non-English soldiers in a random LA graveyard. I mean, this isn't even good cosplay! |
I'm still cynical-- I think they are holding Archie out as much as possible for a payday!!! |
+1 agreed. Both things can be true -- he cares AND this was for attention (and bungled). |
I normally abhor the Daily Mail but they are spot on. This was a very poor choice on their part. It would have been so much better if donated to a related charity or even when themselves with no photographers. |
