Yup. It means that he is an opportunist and wanted to rape some stranger who was not having dinners with his family on a regular basis. It also means that these girls did not know him at all, and they do not realize how lucky they were that he did not rape them. This is a case where this man was not an innocent who got into a bad situation. Like the unsuspecting tourist in Saudi Arabia in whose luggage someone slipped in drugs and now no one belives him and he is langusihing in a foreign jail. No. This man was caught raping an unconscious woman behind a DUMPSTER. Her vagina had dirt and pine needles inside. Her life was shattered by his action. He should be made to suffer, and other would be rapists should remember what the consequence can be. Yes, the justice system failed in giving him a stiffer jail system. But, I am beyong happy that everything in his life is messed up now. And yes, he should not be allowed to coach his future child's team ever because he is a convicted sex offender. But, neither should his dad be allowed to coach his future grandchild's sports team, because this is an arrogant jerk who made his son entitled and a pig in the first place. |
| Brock should immigrate to Australia. Or become a missionary and teach in Africa or third world countries. |
| The letter his mother wrote was even worse than the fathers. This is a family of selfish entitled assholes. I hope Brock suffers miserably for the rest of his pathetic life! |
| I have a feeling the victim comes from money too-possibly even more money than Brock. This is likely how the case went as far as it did-too bad the a-hole judge did not give a long enough sentence. So happy he is on the sex offender list for life and this will follow him forever. His poor victim will suffer forever due to his actions. |
Does it matter at all that this victim chose to walk behind those dumpsters with Brock and at some point was kissing him back? It is not like he dragged some unsuspecting woman back there. He actually says that she led him back there. You really think that a rapist is going to dry hump his victim? Seriously? It actually sounds like they were fooling around and when she passed out he opted to dry hump her (not rape her). There is no excuse for what he did but making him out to be a predatory rapist doesn't seem fair You obviously HATE this man. And you quite obviously feel for this victim. But I think that you might be looking at this situation a little too black and white - Evil Vs Innocent. When really this was two human beings who both made extremely bad choices that ended up costing them both dearly. |
| Would you like some tea? Google it PP. You clearly need a cup of tea. |
You are so clever!! Hahaha! I understand what consent is. Emily *appeared* to be capable of consent to Brock when he was kissing her and fooling around *with* her. When she passed out he switched to dry humping which is consistent with what the swedes saw. |
lol. IF they were hooking up beforehand, and IF each were very drunk, and IF the sexual activity continued after she passed out, then to me it depends entirely on the circumstances which to me are not clear. How long afterwards, was he aware and to what degree? |
This is a good point because this literally all occurred within minutes of them going behind the dumpsters. Was he even aware that she had passed out? |
| Apparently he was cognizant enough to send a nude pic to the swim bros. Swedes saw something way off. He ran when confronted. This is not a case of drunk hook up. This is rape. |
According to Brock, that is. Why in the world should we take his word? And, by the way-appearing convincingly capable of consent and being unresponsive in that time frame not medically possibly under typical circumstances. Source: I'm a physician, you insufferable dumbasses. |
This is not proven. Reports were there were no pictures of the victim on Brock's phone. |
Why did her sister say that Emily appeared fine before she left the party to walk her drunk friend back to her dorm? Why leave her own sister there if she was that drunk? I don't understand how Emily went from standing/dancing/kissing to passed at cold with the span of 30 minutes either. I don't know how she walked behind the dumpsters. But apparently she did. And within 7 minutes she was out cold and would not wake up for another 3 hours. But she did. |

So much has been said about what the victim taking responsibility for her part in this and the likely consequences of her"irresponsible behavior." Well guess what! In addition to the legal ramifications, all of this (internet chatter, name in the press, most of the free world hating him) is the consequence Brock should have expected for HIS behavior.
What did he think was going to happen? Get drunk, assault a drunk woman behind a dumpster, you're running the risk of being public enemy number one. When are college men going to understand that snd start taking responsibility for themselves rather than blaming the Internet for their behavior? |
+1000 to both. FWIW, on most college campuses they now teach about asking for consent at each stage of sex/foreplay. College dorms I've been in are plastered with posters in the hallways explaining this simple concept. I understand that Stanford teaches this as well. So ignorance is no defense on Brock's part. He is guilty, guilty, guilty. |
