Sounds like a big word salad and a whole lot of nothing? What has changed substantially or even any minor changes to structure outside of a few teams switching in or out?

Alright let’s hear it. Give your best guess when ECNL (not us club) and GA/MLSN announce what their plans are for 26/27?

Comment with your best guest winner gets a high five!

My guess is Sept 19 for ECNL and Aug 8 for GA.

What do you mean by “plans” for 26/27? ECNL is literally required to have school year registration in 26/27 - by US Club Soccer. The only announcement USCS / ECNL could make is exceptions for Q4s to play down in 25/26. My guess is nothing will happen with that.

seeing how they already have trapped player exceptions, those details are important

It's not going to happen, so no. However, most clubs mix NCSL and ECNL, and NCSL would have to go along with it as well for it to work. Otherwise, clubs would break off and just have an ECNL side and am NCSL side.

The only way it would happen is if US Soccer switched back, which would be a shocking move at this point given the initial move to birth year.

This quote didn’t age well…lol

The details about 25/26 transitional rules are literally the only reason to keep this thread going.

But the question was when ECNL is going to make an announcement about its plan for 26/27. There's really nothing to announce - unless they decide to use GY at the older ages for showcases (not a terribly important issue).

Details about 25/26 transition and what GA is going to do is what's keeping this thread alive. And when we get some info on either, we will be at 1,500 in no time!
