GFR Falling apart?

And no way they’ll get into either. NCSL has been blocking new clubs for a while and if they are coming in specifically with the intention of competing with/trying to dismantle GFR there’s no way they’ll be able to get in.

They’ll have to partner with a different club to get in

You have to either pay a lot or have something to offer. Another club just doesn't give up field space and use of its name and resources for free.

They don't "block new clubs"; a new club needs enough resources to be viable. Otherwise, they end up with no fields to schedule games on, or they forfeit games for not enough players (like AC Milan). Forfeits are bad for NCSL b/c teams pay for X number of games.

But current NCSL clubs vote on it and don’t want to allow new clubs in if they won’t add any value and if the sole purpose of this club is to disrupt GFR that will be frowned upon

Wow. It’s almost like I called this a month ago. Hmm. OP here saying watch the club coming apart in January. Eric, FA, GD, and others seemingly out the door in Jan in lieu of staying thru June when contract expires? Imagine if the club hadn’t put unethical people in positions like ED & TD. Imagine if they had a better BoD. Yes, kids get screwed. But blame the leadership not the coaches who have had enough. So who stands to gain from all this? Rev? MYS? Riverbend FC (I assume that’s a real thing from previous posts from obvious insiders, this Phoenix futsal thing)?

Not sure why think not real- public filings from past fall list RB legal entity and its 4 Phoenix arms, including futsal.

Makes sense when you put it that way! I’m just trying to keep up with the craziness - Riverbend, Phoenix, ML, RS, etc…!

ML (not the coach, but the weasel) may be a lot of things but "stupid" is not one of them. He knows starting a new club that he will not be able to get into NCSL or VPSL. He's trying to create a feeder team -- most likely to NVA. He can get EDP and then feed NVA in some sort of alliance. That is his most likely angle and will probably be his selling point to potential recruits he hijacks from GFR. Especially, the disgruntled ones.

That is why it is important that GFR not just stand still and say, "we're so happy being a local club. We don't need a pathway." I wish those people would STFU. For GFR to thrive and grow and keep the wolves at bay, they need to get a pathway to make the club more legit and appealing. And they need to do it soon. Otherwise the rivers waters will come up and swallow half their team.

Why would NVA do a fake marketing alliance with a brand new club? That cheapens their brand.

they wouldn't. this suggestion is absurd. why would anyone move to this new club and hope that there might be a pathway for their kid and leave an established club with RL? you really think this club ML is starting will have fields and resources that can compete with what GFR Has?

Could this be the reason GFR is looking to make an alliance with VDA?

You all are hilarious. The new ED who has run one of the strongest clubs in the area and has a ton of professional connections started 12/1. Do you not think she has a plan? Do you think some of these changes are according to the plan? Do you not think she has some upgrades waiting in the wings? The talent pool and GFR community base will entice coaches to come over that did not want to work for RS. Do you not think there will be some kind of pathway in place by spring? Of course she will get that done. It is unlikely to be with NVA just due to geography. Have an egg nog and chill for a week or two. Good things are likely coming for all of us that have been asking for exactly these things for a while.
