| I'm sure it'll come out like in any other business that it was "mutual" and he's taking care of his family and mental health |
his text to his team was that it was b/c he couldn't come to a "professional" agreement with the club. since other coaches seem to have been able to do that he was probably making extreme demands. either way, shitty for the kids. |
WOW! Always liked him as a coach, he made connections with the kids and was a good teacher |
|
What does that mean? He already agreed to his pay for the year per team when they hired him.
So what other kind of professional disagreement would it be? |
| He coached the first boys U12 team, the first boys U13 team, and the second boys U19 team. |
| my bad, its the first boys U13, first boys U14 and second boys U19. that's a lot of teams. |
Yep, left 50 or more kids high and dry. Jerk. |
| this happened before. Maybe the club has to have 1 year commitment contract with the coaches. Many good coaches are leaving their teams at mid season and interrupt the development & confidence of kids/players. |
|
Well it seems to happen everywhere. It's happening in College Football, professional sports and it's happening in youth leagues now too. No one cares about the kids, development, club strategy or values, etc...
Only thing people care about is $$$$$ |
| Coach FA is now starting her own club. This is getting juicy. Did she go for the job that PA got and is now big mad? |
lololol she’s a coach, not an ED. and mo she is not starting her own club. |
Then who is behind Riverbend? They only follow five people and one of them is her. Same with Phoenix. This is an easy one to sleuth out. |
So who else do they follow? |
Jumping to call someone a jerk without all the facts is, at best, quite immature. Knowing Coach Eric, he would never abandon his players in the middle of a season. What people don’t see is that the new board and Technical Director cut every coach’s pay — yet somehow “found” money to hire two new positions. You cannot invest in players if you refuse to invest in the coaches who develop them. He is our son’s coach, and he has also coached our friends’ older sons — we know who he is, how he coaches, and what he stands for. Along with many other parents, we will be demanding his return. If the club can’t find a way to bring him back, we will leave. If the club truly cared about its players, they would have ensured he stayed through the end of the season. We love Coach Eric, and many more families have said he is one of the best coaches at the club. It’s time for GFR to show that they genuinely have the best interests of families and players at heart. |
Def a bad situation for the kids. GFR needs to do better |
