ECNL moving to school year not calendar

The whole reason they are trying to get the majority of clubs and federations is because club operators don’t want to manage separate system. So having separate gender systems would be too confusing.

If US Club gets the thumbs up it will be for everyone who wants to goto SY.

Does MlS next just stay birth year and do its own thing? We will find out. Although mls next does send the majority of boys to college that’s not what the platform is for.

ECNL is college MLS next is Pro.

Don’t be surprised to see some boys teams leave mls next for ECNL if that means their girls teams can join as well.

I’m just saying if ECNL and us club really goto school year and ECNL becomes more aligned with college recruiting.
I say that as I already know of a few clubs that are thinking this with their GA girls teams.

Not saying that’s the right decision just saying don’t be surprised.

That’s an insane thing to ask for on a national basis. There are so many clubs that fall into one of those 3.

That’s perfect. No team can have more than 25% of its players from each birth quarter for games. That way all teams are equally represented and that makes good Oct-Dec players more valuable to clubs.

People can't accept their kid isn't guaranteed to be top tier because they spent all that money and chased the right labels and badges to keep up with the Jones's

There is ALWAYS someone better. For every Ronaldo, there is a Messi. But I get how it sucks when the person or people better happen to be on the same team as your kid. Hence… this whole debate.

This is the most scared and ignorant post I’ve read here in some time.

Coaches recruit players not teams. Coaches go and watch players who write them and show interest in their programs.

And, trapped players do not miss any league games or showcases.

3 whole months is what they miss of non-existent league play during HS season.

Having all the same grade players on a team is beneficial to college coaches but the trapped player is not cheated a damn thing but convenience.

Somehow, if GA and MLSN stay BY while ECNL goes SY, I see ECNL advantaged in both boys and girls. The net flow of top players would likely raise the caliber in ECNL in both. ECNL still better than GA, just by more. ECNL still worse than MLSN, just by less.
