Got it, I am aware of bio banding in MLSN... I just needed a bit more context beyond "then why is there a Jan 2010 on my son's 2011 team" ... Especially in an "ECNL is moving to school year not calender" forum discussion. I got it though, subject matter tends to meander. |
No need to apologize to the PP who was being a cryptic dbag and probably has an August kid on Mlsn and is praying they allow unlimited Biobanding next year. |
There is a biobanding player who is 20 months older than my son. |
Just wait until they get into HS, that could grow to almost 4 years! |
Those cheating seniors and juniors trying to play with freshmen and sophomores. Can’t believe it. |
Wow that is interesting! Do you have to be undersized to qualify for bioband? |
My daughter is an undersized Q1 girl — any girls leagues where I can get on board this biobanding train? I think she’d crush it playing down a year. |
Luckily, ECNL doesn't have this kind of shit. |
You are misleading here. First, HS usually has three teams, and seniors play on the Varsity team. So if a freshman is outstanding, he can play in Varsity instead of the Freshman team. This is a play-up, not a senior play-down, in the Freshman team. Biobanding is an older player who plays one year down. |
100%. |
ECNL will overtake MLSn once MLSN stays birth year and fractures the system. The MLSN product has problems. They say tier 2 can play high school but will allow trapped players unless there is a BS Biobanding exception, yikes! |
No this wont happen. But keep dreaming. |
The problem is Acadamies aren't looking at players that are biobanding down to play with younger players. These type of players are crash test dummies for the of age kids so they can get a taste of playing against older players. So while your undersized Q1 girl might be able to "crush" younger players she'll never get moved up to the next level unless she starts playing against players her own age. |
You’re misreading. You’re interpreting “we’re looking at these dates as options” with “these are the options.” USSF published a later decision that only gives two options, 9/1 and 1/1. |
