Yeah, Kate should rush to do the bidding of a bunch of Megan-stans on an anonymous forum.

It’s a pandemic and she has unvaccinated kids.

She was just at a packed sports stadium for back-to-back Wimbledon and Euro Cup match with-and-without her unvaccinated child. More like she + William just got back from a long overseas vacation for weeks (his deep tan gives him away). Not ruling anything else out either but this is their vacation time.

I think this is all it is. They are usually “off” late July through early September.

They're usually photographed on their way to, or even at, Balmoral though. Plus first day of school photos with the kids, which they've announced they're not doing this year for some reason.

I think she's going to turn up pregnant with #4. Probably hoping for a sister for Charlotte.

They've been quieter about things like vacations and Balmoral for the whole year. Maybe because of Covid. Anyway they did go to Balmoral with the kids for a week in like August. As for the first day photos, I'm convinced they don't want the public to realize that all three kids are in full-time private school now. Louis started the same school as the older kids last year and there were no photos. Hard to explain what Kate (and William if we want to be equal opportunity) are doing with all their time if their kids are gone 6 hours out of the day.

And its not like the Royal Rota isn't begging for the opportunity for special photos - they've been publicly crying on twitter about going broke in the last two years.

Kate fan girls have excused their work shy ways because they have small kids. But if you have three kids at school and nanny Maria what is the excuse? I’ll be even more curious what they come up with when they ship George off to boarding school next year.

Exactly. The numbers at the end of the year aren’t going to lie. Everyone will see how little she works.

And????
Will they make her march through the town square while hanging her head in shame?

DP. Absolutely not. But at some point the weird 'the palace doesn't have enough workers' whispers in the papers need to stop and these two need to step up more than the 70-year-olds and 90-year-olds.

It'll be interesting to watch what happens when they suddenly have to go back to doing domestic and international tours in 2022 at the same time. The Sussexs weren't even there for 15 months and they were on four continental tours on behalf of the BRF. Now no travel for 2 years and all of those postponed tours have to be made up with glad-handing in multiple countries.

What do these tours accomplish other than a bunch of pretty pictures and wasting everyone’s time and money?

It keeps $50 million a year flowing into Royal coffers from Canada alone to start with. It's not cheap running a dozen palaces in a country the size of California. On top of the twenty-five or so other homes ranging from estates to shacks quietly owned by the Royal family/Crown Estate and rented or loaned out to third cousins, favorite nannies, servants, or private parties for profit. Like Fort Belvedere.

Cool, is this a recent fascination for you or have you always been worried about the royal family and how much it costs to run their estates? I would guess you only started being concerned in the past 3 years or so.

DP. I'm Canadian. I grew up knowing this stuff.

Canadians are more and more resentful of the money sent to the monarchy. The Queen, people like. The others, not at all.

Kate (and really Will) doesn't have to work. Will can continue being unlikeable. Charles can continue being stiff and weird. The family can continue to protect Andrew. But the public willingness to be attached to the monarchy has never been weaker. It is their choice but it is not without consequences.

Also, the problem with the lack of work is that there is a lot of invisible work to maintain the monarchy. The Queen was an effective CEO: her workload was much more than what was visible. She managed a large operation with budgets, personnel management, contractual relationships, and more. I've seen very little evidence that Will has any capacity whatsoever in that regard. Charles, maybe, although he isn't an inspiring leader.

Personally I think that the chances of George ever being king are not high, unless the younger generation of the Royal family makes some massive changes.

Hilary Mantel basically said the same thing. She has extensively studied the history of the British royal family and her prediction is that it will last two more generations.

Heaven knows what they'll do then. But yeah - he's turning 8 and will be gone 5 days a week. So...

You nutters are obsessed with her work schedule? Do you follow anyone else and dissect how they spend their time? This is such a bizarre hobby. Nobody thinks Kate does any real "work" even if she shows up to cut a ribbon once in awhile. It's only the anti-fangirls on here who keep bumping these posts to complain some more about someone they don't like and can't look away from.

This. She does like one one-hour event once a week. It probably requires one hour of travel, one hour of hair/makeup, and one hour of prep (memorize names etc). That’s actually more than she did before marriage, or in the early days of marriage pre-kids. Why should she do anymore? She’s extremely wealthy. She doesn’t have to.

She's not wealthy. The Crown is wealthy and the Queen still outworks Kate into her 90s.

She doesn't memorize names. She couldn't even remember the name of the First Lady of the United States when she met her.

She also didn't work for the 10 years pre-marriage. Again the Queen thought she out to and the Middletons thought they'd be smart and stick her in her mother's barn with a fake position.

Wait, is this true? Where did you read this? What did she call her??

She looked down at a notecard desperately searching for a name. Speaks three words...*pause, looks down*...three words...*pause, looks down*

Wow… I’m not a Kate basher but this was terrible! Did she really need to look at her notecards that often for that 15 seconds of speech? This doesn’t make me think very highly of her education or BRF public speaking training. Any 10th grader at a competitive local private or public school could have done better. Especially if they have as little to do / as much time to prep as Kate.

Par for the course for a woman who has spent the last twenty years doing nothing.

Most people aren’t aware but Diana had public speaking problems in her first year in the royal family at the age of 19. She got a tutor and aced it from there on out.

Huh. I thought she did great. She’s obviously shy so when she speaks she sounds nervous but very sincere. It’s very weird to hate someone so much for a dumb thing like not being a polished public speaker. Or choosing to stay home with her three young children. Give it a rest you hateful harpies.

Staying home for the kids who are in school?

This. All of it. And its staring them in the face and yet they still refuse to take up the responsibilities - engagements involved with being visible royals. Queenie is dying. Charles is 72 with health-problems. The future futures however don't want to work.

I know that the Commonwealth countries are going to be gone so fast - the realm island nations first, the African nations next, randoms like Belize and India, then its on to the big guns - Canada and Austrlia.

https://www.royal.uk/commonwealth-and-overseas

I would call India a big gun and not a random because of its historic importance to the empire.

that happened awhile ago. India is a republic

So she’s poor and lazy, is that your issue?

Read it again I never said she is lazy. Guess that is just your subconscious at work. Also there are many different things between poor and wealthy.

That’s just how Europeans talk. They are not effusive the way Americans are.

No, that's a father struggling to say something good.

That quote is 2.5 years old. Sounds like this relationship isn't a flash in the pan. But, go on, keep trying to find the negative.

DP. Alizee seems very accomplished so is it really that far fetched that her dad would be disappointed that she would end up with someone like James with no real career, no degree, and who has been quite public about his mental health issues? It has nothing to do with the relationship being a flash in the pan.

I mean they do seem pretty wealthy. Sent their kids to $$$ boarding schools. Expensive vacations. Expensive flats in London. Expensive clothes. Unless they’re living on credit and got a lot of freebies?

Uncle Gary. He loves Kate and his sister. Also they vacation a lot at Pippa’s FIL place which I would assume would be a freebie.

Oh wow. Do you think she will be put on a PIP? This is tragic.

Well that’s probably what the whole Rose Hanbury thing was. A PIP.
