Of what, hon? We'd love to help but you need to be more specific.

Was it receipts with a time stamp that show she rented the bike first?

the receipts show that she rented the bike she was sitting on (same serial number as in the video) for a minute. then rented a second bike for 25 minutes.

so the receipts support her story that *she* rented the bike she was sitting on that they forcibly pushed back into the dock. that’s how she ended up sitting on the bike surrounded by the men. then the one guy covered up the QR code so she couldn’t rent it again.

The receipt doesn't prove she rented the bike first.

I'm not donating to a fund for sueing media outlets. That sounds like a money grab. If she decides to sue the actual guilty party, the person who posted the video, then I can support that.

I hope she gets something nice for her baby’s nursery. She deserves something nice out of this after being dragged through the mud for sport.

The money donated so far will probably barely cover the cost of their emergency relocation and lost wages. It’s not clear she will be able to return to that job at all.

What lost wages?

She and her husband had to go into hiding. They aren’t working. Hopefully Bellevue put her on paid leave but that won’t last forever.

So you believe he rented it first and she somehow forced him off it?

Neither do his non receipts. She’s sitting on the bike. It’s obvious she was there first and she can back it up. The man has nothing.

What a disgusting analogy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

She’s being attacked by a mob on account of her race and gender, based on false accusations of committing a racial offense. The only way its an inapt analogy is that she hasn’t been physically harmed, although the threat to her health and pregnancy is pretty severe.

3, 2, 1 and ding, ding. This thread has officially jumped the shark! Crazies in the house.

I mean, I wasn’t the one who got started with the terrible and disrespectful analogies to Emmet Till. That was Monique Judge et al. Grifters know no shame.

We can do better than stooping to their level. Besides, you've just given ammo to deplorables (and I don't use that lightly) like "3, 2, 1" above who were just waiting to pounce on something offensive so they can continue to deny and deflect from how the woman was abused by the guys and then in social media.

+1 it’s discouraging how many people are using this effed up overreach to say racist stuff. The poor woman’s misfortune is not an excuse to be racist!

The only reason you know about this is because of how she was racially targeted.

Yes, she was racially targetted, first by the guys, then by social media.

But what does turning this into a pi$$ing contest of racial slurs accomplish? They suck. We don't have to.

What racial slurs? The stupid “Citibike Kareem” guy? Ok he can go.

PP here. also calling her the next Emmet Till.

Again, context. Monique Judge et al was the one who started that sh*tty analogy. It’s not racist to point out who the actual players in the analogy would be.

That guy is more than welcome to produce a receipt for that specific bike that precedes hers. If it turns out this woman who is six months pregnant accosted a group of 5 men to take a bike from them, re-dock it, and rent it herself, I will support people in indicting her for this behavior.

But there's zero evidence that's what happened, whereas there IS evidence that it happened as she said.

You think this pregnant lady post 12 hr shift at Bellevue somehow took his already rented bike and forced him to return it, then rented it for one minute? Then gave it up? Rather than a group of teenage boys acting like disrespectful provocative idiots?

Great point. Maybe, after the end of the video, she socked those guys in their faces and got the bike back.

Well, she obviously wasn't scared, she did steal the guys phone from his hands. Who knows what happened before they started filming her.

They stole her bike. Weird that they haven’t come forward to refute that.

It's the difference between two letters. That is all.

Neither are ok imo.

+1. You don't fix a racist, misogynistic slur with another racist, misogynistic slur.

+1000

I won’t be calling anyone either of those names.

Anyone else thing someone must be holding the Post's Karen Attiah down so she doesn't weigh in here? She's another "journalist" hammer who can't see anything except nails.

Just hearing the insults directed toward the unborn baby provides enough info for a judgement call on what happened here.
