Oh no! I am terrified of bigs--phobic. Is there anything we can do, short of replacing my windows?

They were bad in the fall so I knew the spring would be bad too. One was crawling on me at night a few months ago and I tried to swat it. It released the smell and the whole room stuck the entire night. They're awful.
Seriously, Lol. The stink bug thing this fall and winter has made my kids apoplectic. It seriously ruined a hiking trip I took my son on in the fall. We need to do aversion therapy.

Awesome. My mom's strategy for dealing with them was to go after one that was minding its business high up on the wall - in a room noone was in - with a broom, then run screaming when it dive bombed her. Maybe now I'll remember to get it on tape.
Ugh, I found one in my bathroom last night!
Stink bugs aren't nearly as nasty as cicadas.
a plague upon your house.... |
I haven't noticed many this winter, but man last summer and fall they were horrible.
I'm just glad they don't bite or sting. Really, I think mosquitos are more of a pest.
But, they dive bomb. They dive bomb. Wow, my kids can scream pretty loud when they're being dive bombed, it turns out.

I'll take stink bugs over mosquitos or bed bugs any day.

One showed up inside our kitchen wiindow 2 weeks ago...and one inside my son's bedroom window last week.
Our house got slammed with them last year...so this forecast has me freaking out ! They are slow and easy to kill and DH showed me how to do it and immediately flush them down the toilet so the stink doesn't get out....which is what will attract all their friends.

Wow. Stink bugs have lots of friends...

Saw one on my vanity this morning.
